Pizza is a popular choice at mealtime, especially if you have kids!

I like pizza, but I don’t love pizza. So when our usual Friday pizza night rolls around, I like to shake things up and serve up this Pizza Pasta Skillet as a nice change of pace!

While you need a fork for this dish, you still get that pizza flavor you love… just with a pasta twist.

And just like regular pizza, you can customize it however you’d like. Stick with pepperoni or go all out and make the supreme version with all kinds of meats and veggies. No matter what toppings I add, the base always starts with a jar of RAGÚ® sauce.

Pizza Pasta Skillet

Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 25 minutes


  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small onion
  • 8 oz. pasta - I like fusilli
  • 24 oz. jar RAGÚ® sauce
  • 12 oz. water
  • 3 oz. pepperoni
  • thinly sliced green bell pepper
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese


  • Brown the ground beef with the onion in a skillet over medium high heat, breaking the meat as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in the pasta, RAGÚ® sauce and water and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, or until pasta is cooked and most of the water is absorbed.
  • Top with the cheese, pepperoni and bell pepper.
  • Broil for 1 - 2 minutes, until cheese is bubbly.
  • Serve and enjoy!
