Now, I happen to love a good margarita and already own a version of that margarita machine. I can tell you for fact that my drink machine gets used quite often at my house. During the spring/summer, I don’t even bother putting it in the pantry. It stays out on the counter so that it’s handy when needed.
I have probably 5 or 6 different drinks that I can whip up in a flash using that handy machine and my favorite Sparkling Ice flavors. One of my favorites of all time is a mixture of Sparkling Ice Coconut Pineapple and Coconut Rum. It’s my all time favorite drink to sip by the pool. In fact, I make them often, I don’t even measure anymore–I just eyeball it and the drink comes out perfect every single time!
Now with Cinco de Mayo just around the corner, I thought you guys might like a quick and DELICIOUS recipe to help you celebrate. Stop by your local Publix and pick up a couple of bottles of Sparkling Ice Lemon Lime and whip up a tasty margarita in just minutes. It’s a classic margarita with a fabulous citrus twist!
Of course the recipe can be tweaked with any of the tasty Sparkling Ice flavors that you love. How about a Peach Nectarine Margarita? Rim the glass with sugar and cut the lime juice by half and use Sparkle Ice Peach Nectarine in place of the Sparkling Ice Lemon Lime drink. Maybe a Pomegranate Blueberry Margarita…the options are endless!
- 1 bottle Lemon Lime Sparkling Ice®
- 1 oz tequila
- 1 oz triple sec
- 1 oz lime juice
- Lime margarita salt, for garnish
- Lime slice, for garnish
- Rim glass with a lime and dip into salt, fill glass with ice and set to the side. In an ice filled cocktail shaker, combine tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and shake. Strain into glasses and top with Sparkling Ice® Lemon Lime, stir lightly to combine. Garnish with a lime slice.
And just a heads up that you guys in the South Florida area can whip up something tasty with the new Guava flavor from Sparkling Ice. This flavor is only available for select areas so if you are in the South Florida area, you definitely want to give it a try!
