One of my secret weapons when I begin spring cleaning is to pull out my trusty large plastic basket. I lovingly refer to it as the “Household Lost and Found.” Any and all random items that I find in each room that I clean goes into that basket.

Each of my family members get a chance to go through the basket and claim any items. They then have the responsibility to place each “saved” item in the proper location.
