Sara Lee's Grilled Pound Cake and Mixed Berries

Coming up with exciting recipes that will excite your family can be difficult. I’ll be the first to admit that I have found recipes online that look beautiful in the pictures. When I go to re-create the recipe, my version ends up being nothing like that pretty picture. There’s nothing worse than spending a bunch of time in the kitchen to end up with a meal that’s a flop!

Luckily we have the Aprons station at Publix where we can sample great recipes ahead of time. No need to hope that a pretty picture will yield a good recipe. We can actually taste the food, then grab a recipe card and all the ingredients needed right in one spot!

m0001407_600x440This week you can stop by the Aprons station and sample a fantastic recipe that pairs Hillshire Farm® Smoked Sausage, squash, olives, capers to create a fantastic meal. This recipe is Grilled Sausage and Summer Squash and you don’t want to miss the chance to try it. Hillshire farms smoked sausageYou can pick up a great deal on Hillshire Farm® Smoked Sausage this week at Publix. I found the sausage on sale 2/$5. That’s a great price for sausage made with premium cuts of meat that’s perfectly seasoned. You’ll be able to have dinner on the table in a flash as the sausage is pre-cooked. That means you dont have to worry about spending as much time preparing it. Quick, easy and delicious –that’s my favorite combination!

Be sure to stop by the Aprons station next time you shop. Grab a sample of the tasty recipes and be sure to grab your recipe card then pick up everything you need to make a delicious meal your whole family will love!
