publix-logo-graphicI have great news—the Produce for Kids campaign with Publix is back and launching in Publix stores tomorrow, June 2!

This is a great campaign that’s designed to raise funds for local Feeding America® food banks and give Publix shoppers healthy meal solutions, recipes and tips. Simply look for the Produce for Kids signs when you are shopping in the produce department. By supporting the brands with the Produce for Kids logo you’ll bring home delicious and healthy foods for your family plus you’ll help support local families and children in-need as well.

There are tons of great brands participating and we even have some awesome sales starting up this week in the new Publix ad. Here are this year’s sponsors –

  • Avocados from Mexico Mexican Hass Avocados
  • Buddy Fruits®
  • Coast Tropical Mangos
  • Crunch Pak® Sliced Apples
  • Del Monte® Fruit Naturals® Cups
  • Driscoll’s® Raspberries
  • Fresh Express® Packaged Salads
  • HMC Farms/Brandt Farms California Peaches, Plums and Nectarines
  • Little Bear Brand® Vidalia® Sweet Onions
  • RealSweet® Vidalia® Onions
  • Marie’s® Dressings
  • Wonderful® Pistachios

To date, Produce for Kids and Publix have raised more than $2.7 million to support local children’s charities. You can help that number climb higher! Having two young boys, this is a campaign that is very meaningful to me. It breaks my heart to think that there are so many children out there that go hungry every single day. I am happy to add a few extra healthy items to my cart (and my boys’ plates) knowing that I am benefiting those in need!

The campaign runs June 2 – June 29. Be sure to look for the signs when you shop and check out the Produce For Kids website for more information, great recipes and to stay up-to-date on the campaign with upcoming events and news!
