I will have the chicken for dinner, with sides…then most likely use the leftovers in a casserole, or soup. I plan on getting two chickens, so the other will go into the freezer for later.

Whenever I bring a cooked chicken into the house, it never makes it to the table! My boys start chomping on it as we are putting groceries away. Who would have ever thought that a whole chicken would be considered a snack.

The first day, we’ll cut part of it off the bone and savor the delicious taste you just can’t beat of fresh, hot rotisserie chicken. We’ll also take some to my elderly mom to enjoy. Then we’ll cut the rest off the bone and eat it the next day in a sandwich. After the chicken is gone, I will put the bones and scraps in a large pot and stew it with a good amount of water and freeze the broth for the next time I need chicken broth in a recipe.

We like our rotisserie just the way it is! Add Publix red potato salad, or an Uncle Ben’s Ready rice and a Hawaiian roll for a fast, easy meal.
We eat the legs and wings and some breast right away with coleslaw and baguette, save the breast for chicken sandwich the next day or 2 , and boil the bones for fresh broth – nothing wasted!!!

Happy Friday. The free chicken means I don’t have to cook dinner tonight! Great way to start the weekend. We use the leftovers on salads.
When we do the PG free chicken deals naturally I stock up on some great things for my household. The chicken is the icing on the cake. What we do is split the chicken in half and use our food saver to seal each half. Then we throw them in the freezer. When we have a long day or need a quick meal then we get one out. They are as fresh and tasty as when we sealed them.

I use the chicken twice. Once I take the breast meat, broccoli, mushrooms, pasta & butter/garlic mix it all together after cooking pasta & broccoli. (one pot meal) Then I take the rest of the chicken & make chicken noodle or matzo ball soup. YUMMY!!!

I wouldn’t need to do anything with it other than put it on the counter. My three boys consume anything left in plain sight and flip over some rotisserie chicken that their Mama didn’t have a coupon to buy. 😉
Chicken with a side salad
I would mix the chicken cut up in small pieces with some pasta, alfredo sauce, veggies and serve it with garlic bread!
I’ll pull the chicken off the bone and add it my noodles with a quick homemade alfredo sauce! Side of veggies or salad and we are set!!
We will devour at least half of it when it comes home hot. Then if there is enough leftover, I’ll make chicken pot pie the next day.

My husband and I will have it for dinner with a summer salad, and then use the leftovers to make chicken and sausage gumbo!

Sunday lunch after church. I want to serve my family a good lunch but don’t want to hurry home and cook. I can put peas in Mr. Hamilton and have salad stuff ready and bread to go in the oven.

I’m not as creative as others and we are a meat & potato family so……chicken as is with gravy and mashed potatoes and a vegetable; corn for me and peas for the hubby. Leftovers will either be eaten the same way or in a sandwich.

I will use the free chicken to make tacos one night with enough leftover to make as a pizza topping from last week’s bogo dough that is in my freezer. I’ll also make chicken broth from the bones and skin in my crockpot.

I will debone this delicious chicken after using 2 servings for both myself and hubby(will bake us sweet potatoes and cook a veggie for this meal). The next day I will make”arroz con pollo” which is Puerto Rican yellow rice and chicken. I will make the base for this rice dish and simmer…the last 10 minutes of cooking, I will add the cut up cooked chicken. I did this, the last time I bought a whole chicken and it was a hit with hubby. This time I will be serving my parents this rice and chicken dish. My 89 year old mom is recovering from a fall( fractured femur). She and dad need all the help they can as far as meals. I know they will enjoy this rotisserie chicken as I and my husband did!

I buy the chicken on a day I work the evening shift. This makes it easy on my husband to cook for the kids.
I will use the free rotisserie chicken to make my favorite poppy seed chicken casserole! Using rotisserie chicken is a huge time saver. Plus the casserole actually tastes better when you use rotisserie chicken rather than with chicken you’ve cooked yourself.

I love Rotisserie chicken as is! Yummy with roasted potatoes and a veggie! Any leftovers are used for Chicken salad for lunch! Can’t wait!

Since it’s still in the 90’s in Central Florida, I would use the rotisserie chicken in a cool Waldorf Chicken Salad. I have made this with Rotisserie Chicken for many years and it’s always a hit with my family and friends!
I’d use the rotisserie chicken to make chicken salad sandwiches or chicken enchiladas. It’s a lot easier to make those dishes because the hard part (cooking the chicken) is already done!
