unilever deodorantThe other day I shared my review of the new Dry Spray Deodorants from Unilever. This deodorant is my new favorite thing.

It’s amazing how a simple change can make such a big difference. I am actually looking forward to being able to wear sleeveless tops once the weather warms up. I very rarely wore them before because I hated the way my underarms looked. Scrubbing stick deodorant residue followed by shaving left my underarms very irritated and just ugly! In only a couple of weeks I have seen a huge improvement in my skin. It’s something I can see and feel.

A couple of folks asked me a few questions so I thought I’d share here so everyone could benefit.

Leslie asked if I found myself needing to reapply the deodorant throughout the day to maintain coverage.

I am only having to use it once per day. Most of the time I use the spray in the morning before I get dressed. Now, if it’s a day where I get to relax a bit I might not use the dry spray until mid-morning and haven’t had any issues where I felt that I needed to reapply. The can says that the spray offers 48 hours of protection but I have yet to put that to the test. I guess it’s nice to know that’s an option. In all honesty, if I had to go a couple of days without a shower, I’d likely still apply it just to freshen up a bit. That’s probably just my own personal thing 😉

Jenna emailed asking about the size of the can. She mentions that the can seems small and she wondered about how long it would really last.

The can says that it is supposed to last up to 8 weeks. I have been using the deodorants for about 3 weeks total. The first week I went back and forth between the Degree and the Dove. The last two weeks I have been just using the Dove. I picked up the Clear Tone Skin Renew version and decided to stick with it in hopes that it might help “fix” what the years of irritation has caused.

I just went and shook the can and it still feels full. The great thing about the spray is that you really don’t need a ton. A quick spray is plenty to do the trick.

“C” asked me about the price/value of the new Dry Spray Deodorants.

The different varieties are priced $5.49 – $6.99 at my local Publix. I mentioned in my other post that there is a $2 coupon for all the varieties in the 1/25 RP insert. That brings down the cost to $3.49 – $4.99 which means that the cost to use the deodorant is just 43¢ – 62¢ per week after coupon! Less than 10¢ per day…I consider that a fantastic value.

I don’t have to scrub my underarms in the shower to remove the goop left by the solid. The irritation from shaving after scrubbing is completely gone. The spray is easy to use and works like a champ. Plus…NO WHITE JUNK all over my clothes!! I figure I only have to buy around 6 – 7 cans per year…I stock up while I can get a good deal and still get all the benefits. So yes, I consider them a great value!

Keep the questions coming – I don’t mind sharing my opinion. I’d love to hear from  you guys who have tried them too. If you want to see how they work check out the video on the Discover More In Store page or click the pic below.  No that’s not me in the video–tee hee. But, I do hope that soon my underarms look as good as hers!video
