Laurie over at Passionate Penny Pincher sent over her recipes for this week.
Check out that biscuit…the secret ingredient is 7-UP! How cool is that?
My little one decided to give me his cold. Right about now I could use a little comfort food. A big ol’ warm biscuit sure would do the trick. The question is, who is coming over to make me a big batch?–tee hee!
Here are her recipes:
This looks so good that I am making it for dinner tonight. The chicken is defrosting in the microwave as we speak. 😀 I plan to make the biscuits too and I’ve never made homemade biscuits ever! 😮 Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Thanks for the recipes! Do you think chicken thighs would work as well? I am loaded up on those and didn’t get any chicken breast.
Michelle – I’ve never tried making Chicken Thighs in the crock pot, but I’m betting they would be fine (just not sure about how the chicken would shred in your sauce.) I did see a slow cooker recipe for chicken thighs over here that looks pretty good! http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/slow-cooker-chicken-thighs-10000001677950/

Oh my gosh…this recipe is sooo good! I served it over egg noodles with sweet peas on the side. We just finished eating and I will definitely make it again. Before today I was a biscuit “virgin”…due to my irrational fear of dough and baking. 😛 But the biscuits were so simple to make, that now I feel foolish for never attempting them before. 😮 A big thank you to Laurie for the recipe and to Michelle for posting it.
(Sorry you are under the weather, Michelle. 🙁 I wish I could carrier pigeon some of my dinner over to you! The traffic on I-20 is probably cleared out by now so I’m sure it wouldn’t take him too long to get there! 😀 Feel better soon!)
Aw….you are a sweetie! I ended up doing lazy man chili but if I had some 7-up I would have made those biscuits too!!
Soooo glad you liked them Amy! I’m always a little anxious about making biscuits too, but they’re so easy . . . glad your family enjoyed it (and hope you’re feeling better soon Michelle!)
