Method
- Add the butter and ricotta to the bowl of your stand mixer. Beat on high until light and fluffy.
- Mix in salt and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the powered sugar a cup at a time until completely combined and the frosting is your preferred consistency. You may or may not need all 5 cups of sugar. If the frosting becomes too thick, add a little cream as needed.
- Use to frost your favorite cake or cupcakes.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve.
