Strategy is everything this month, and that’s definitely the case when it comes to planning your game day menu. While the upsets are rolling in on the screen, keep things consistent on the table with a dip that delivers every time. My Warm Beer Cheese Dip moves past the standard appetizer, offering a sharp, complex flavor profile that pairs perfectly with a cold brew and a fast-paced game. It’s the MVP of game day, designed for those who take their snacks as seriously as their stats.
A beer cheese dip is only as good as the cheese you melt into it. To get that signature bold, complex flavor, I rely on Tillamook Sharp Cheddar. Because Tillamook Cheddar is naturally aged, you get a sharp, punchy flavor that doesn’t get lost when mixed with your favorite brew.
Grating a block of Tillamook Sharp Cheddar ensures a smooth, creamy pull every single time. And to ensure you have the creamiest dip possible, my trick is to add a couple of spoonfuls of Tillamook Original Cream Cheese Spread to the mix. You end up with a dip that’s rich, velvety, and—most importantly—made with the kind of quality that wins championships.
I consistently choose Tillamook Dairy because of that uncompromising quality. Farmer-owned since 1909, they’ve remained committed to crafting high-quality dairy products with the best ingredients, grounded in a cooperative of multi-generation farmer-owners who treat the land, cows, and people with care.
That dedication to quality is why their dairy products have been a staple in my kitchen for years. From their extra-creamy ice creams to their naturally aged cheeses, you can taste the quality in every product. With over 200 different dairy products, there are tasty options for whatever I’m craving!

Ingredients
Method
- Melt the butter In a medium saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in the flour, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and salt and cook for about 1 minute.
- Gradually stir in the milk and beer, whisking until smooth after each addition. Add the mustard and Worcestershire sauce and cook the sauce until thick and bubbly.
- Remove from heat and add the cheddar cheese and cream cheese spread and stir until melted and smooth.
- Serve warm with pretzel bites, tortilla chips, veggies or any of your favorite dippers.
Whether you’re dipping soft pretzels, crusty bread, or crisp veggies, this dip is the ultimate crowd-pleaser. It takes less time to whip up than a halftime show, meaning you won’t miss a single play. It’s thick, savory, and has just enough kick to keep the energy high through every overtime.
