This refresh is a celebration of Crisco’s heritage and its place in modern kitchens, especially when it comes to getting that crispy, golden-brown fry.
And speaking of frying, while Crisco® All-Vegetable Shortening has always been a kitchen essential, it’s also a must-have ingredient for the undisputed king of casual summer fare—fried chicken.
Frying with Crisco® All-Vegetable Shortening gives you a consistent, high-performance fat that helps you achieve that coveted crispy exterior and a moist, tender interior every time. It has a high smoke point, which means you can get your oil to the right temperature for frying without worrying about burning, resulting in a cleaner taste that lets the flavor of your food shine.
And what pairs perfectly with delicious fried chicken? A tangy, sweet, and slightly smoky BBQ sauce! Forget the store-bought stuff, because we’re going to whip up a simple, flavorful BBQ sauce from scratch using another pantry favorite—Grandma’s® Molasses.
Grandma’s® Molasses brings a depth of flavor and a beautiful richness to BBQ sauce that you just can’t get from sugar alone. Its distinct flavor complements the savory chicken perfectly, creating a sweet and sticky glaze that’s absolutely addictive.
Now, let’s put it all together in a recipe that’s sure to become your summer go-to: BBQ Fried Chicken Biscuits! You will absolutely love crispy Crisco® fried chicken drizzled with homemade Grandma’s® Molasses BBQ sauce on a fluffy biscuit. It’s the ultimate comfort food mashup, perfect for a casual summer meal or entertaining friends.
