This tasty dish is a beloved family recipe and is perfect for any meal, from a quick breakfast to a satisfying dinner. It’s also elegant enough to impress your guests. Gather a few simple ingredients, take advantage of the current sale and add it to your menu this week.
Cheesy Sausage Roll
Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry - defrosted according to package instructions
- 3 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp chives, chopped
- 4 oz cheddar cheese, shredded
- 6 Jones Dairy Farm Golden Brown Breakfast Sausage Links (any variety)
- 2 tbsp everything bagel seasoning
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400º F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Add the chopped chives to the softened cream cheese and mix to combine.
- Unfold puff pastry dough onto a lightly floured surface and roll to 10 x 12 inches then cut in half lengthwise.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture lengthwise over half of each puff pastry sheet then top with three sausage links laid lengthwise. Finally, sprinkle cheddar cheese over the sausage.
- Cut ten 2-inch slits down the opposite sides of each pastry sheet. Then fold the pastry over the filling ensuring the seam is sealed under the roll.
- Brush each sausage roll with the beaten egg and sprinkle with the everything bagel seasoning then bake 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and crisp.
- Slice, serve and enjoy!
