I have been a Publix customer for 35 years. No more. I know that we have inflation, but Publix has gone way beyond that. Besides for Publix charging more for many items in Boca Raton and Delray Beach (this has gone on for many years). While shopping at Walmart, 2 customers that I know said the same thing and are also through with Publix.I will give some examples. Nathans Frozen French Fries Walmart $4.69 Publix $5.99 2 liter CF Diet Pepsi Walmart $1.99 Publix $3.79. Last time I bought 2 liter, which was buy 2 get one free Walmart $5.97 Publix $7.58. I’m not sure of the Publix price of Hagen Daz 14 ounce, but I think that it was $7.99 Walmart $3.99 Publix was a BOGO( $7.99 for 2). Hot Dogs and bacon are a lot cheaper. Vitamins and supplements are a lot cheaper. There are many items at Walmart that cost a lot less. I don’t or have I ever worked at Walmart. Check it out for yourself!
l love Publix. the employees are really friendly and helpful. they will go out of their way to help you. Walmart employees ignore you, run into you with their stocking carts and rarely know where anything is. they look like management is beating them or something. once l picked up chicken breasts so bad it ranked. the customer service had no hand sanitizer. l go what have you got? they hand me a bottle of spray. l proceeded to spray it on the part of the cart your child sits and she jumps all over me saying you’re getting it on the floor, l wasn’t. l then said there was spoiled chicken there . do you want someone to put their baby in this cart? I’ll take Publix any day. get your milk or anything else you think is expensive at Aldi. most of the bogos at Publix are great, especially the peanut butter and v8. try finding those prices at Walmart. plus Publix gives rain checks for 4 deals. I’m a senior citizen and l enjoy seeing a smiling face when l go shopping. who doesn’t?
The prices have reached a point where bogos at Publix are often still more expensive than just buying the product elsewhere. They are completely out of control with their pricing and that is indisputable.
