I see the Planters mixed nuts are BOGO $7.40 this week. Now let’s see what the price is at the stores, as it often varies from what’s posted here.
It may be because her prices are in Tennessee, and appear to be a tad bit cheaper than our Florida prices for the Planters.
I was just in the Publix on 441 and Clint Moore Rd in Boca Raton FL. The regular price of Banquet Brown and Serve Sausage Links 6.4 oz was $2.69. The BOGO price for this week is $3.57. Publix does it Again! They raise the price when they have it on BOGO. They do this all the time. They have become very unscrupulous. Even the price of $2.69 is at least $1 more than at Walmart. How about a reply Publix?
Normal procedure for them nowadays. As an example, Curly’s Pulled Pork BBQ is currently priced @ $7.99, once it moves to BOGO on Thursday, it will be $9.99. Publix BOGOs, super buys, loss leaders, etc. when they make sense. Otherwise, we purchase where it makes the most sense. We’re thankful for this site, it’s very helpful.
David,Jim,I Agree! I am thankful for sites like this that enable us to figure out the best deals so we can compare them to other stores! As for Publix, it is becoming more and more difficult and time consuming to just get their prices comparable to other stores. Which might not be worth the effort! I love Publix, but honestly, it is not worth it, especially when they are jacking up their prices and calling it a sale! David, perhaps your statement should be on Publix’s social media.

You need to go to the ad on the Publix website and look at the ad for your store. Prices vary widely from store to store even in one town. We have quit shopping at the location near the country club and now shop where the regular people live and the prices are sometimes dollars lower on one item.
All of the Boca Raton and Delray Beach Publix charge more than other areas on a lot of items.
I wouldn’t waste my time or money on anything at Publix any longer. I’m amazed they’re still in business with the prices they’re charging. I go to Aldis, Walmart and Winn Dixie.
Most of their regular prices are lower than Publix’s sale and B1G1.
Irwin You are right. We do have inflation, but Publix has raised their prices so much more than other stores. They are taking advantage of their customers. I almost always by BOGOS ( in a lot of cases their BOGO prices are what Walmart usually charges. I do my bulk shopping at Costco, B.J’s and Walmart 2 to 3 times a month.

Sorry Lauren, but Publix does raise the price of items when they go on BOGO. Maybe not all items, but on many of them. There have been several examples posted here now and in the past. Maybe it’s a store decision vs a corporate decision to set those prices, but it definitely happens.
Maybe it is up to the management in individual stores, but it has been going on for at least one year. I go to the Publix at 441 and Clint Moore because I live just behind it. When you see the BOGOS on I Heart Publix and check the prices on the BOGOS at the store that I referenced days before, you will see that the people that are complaining about this are correct
the amount you save is the same as the shelf tags. are you saying we are changing shelf tags when we hang the sale sign? all that was decides weeks before?
Yes Lauren, that’s exactly what’s happening. On normal, non sale weeks the shelf tag price shows the normal price. Say $5.49. Then when the item goes on BOGO, the temporary BOGO tag shows a BOGO price of $7.99 (for example). Then when the BOGO sale ends, the shelf tag price reverts to the normal $5.49. Unfortunately, this is happening.

@Lauren. I 100% absolutely guarantee that this happens. I’ve seen it myself and so have others here. Again, it’s not every product and maybe it’s a store / region occurrence, but it happens. If it’s not supposed to happen, maybe you can convince someone within Publix to do an audit. I’m in the North Atlanta area and the main item I’ve been tracking is Nivea for Men body wash. I’m going to start tracking other items as well to see how pervasive this issue is at my store.
I 100% guarantee we do not change the prices for a bogo, at least not on a Thursday. all shelf tag changes are made on Saturdays. so if it was changed, it was the Saturday before the ad.
OK, I’ll pay more attention to see when the shelf tag price gets changed, but the question/problem remains: Why are the prices changing ahead of a BOGO sale and then changing back? Whether they change on Thursday (Wednesday for some) or Saturday, they’re still being changed.
