Healthy eating can have many different meanings. For some of us, it could mean incorporating more low-carb foods or vegetables into our diet. For others, it’s all about eating low calorie or even committing to adding more plant-based foods to the weekly menu. But, however you define healthy eating, the trick is to make a plan and stick to it!
Of course, sticking to those new year resolutions can be tough. But, choosing recipes that are simple, quick and easy will help you eliminate those excuses that seem to get in the way.
The key is a little planning. Creating a menu is such an easy way to stay on track. Knowing what you are eating means you can have everything handy so you aren’t tempted to slide off track. And, planning ahead can help you save money too… that means you may just tackle multiple goals for the new year!
If you are looking for a better-for-you meal that’s quick and easy, I have the perfect option to add great taste to your menu—Turkey Meatballs with Zoodles and Blistered Tomatoes.
The typical spaghetti and meatball meal can be high in fat and calories. With just a few substitutions, you can get amazing flavor while adding more veggies to your plate.
Zucchini noodles are a tasty substitution to pasta. They offer a variety of vitamins, minerals, and beneficial plant compounds and are super quick and easy to prepare. And since ground turkey is typically a leaner option than ground beef, you can reduce calories and fat with ease.
Of course you still want a meal that’s packed with flavor. With a little help from Hellmann’s, Lipton and Sir Kensington that’s no problem at all.
Bland and dry ground turkey gets amazing flavor with the addition of Hellmann’s and Lipton Recipe Secrets. Hellmann’s Mayonnaise helps keep the meatballs moist and juicy while maintaining the texture you love. And Lipton Recipe Secrets provides amazing flavor without having to raid your spice cabinet or measure out a bunch of ingredients.
Simply mix ground turkey with Hellmann’s Mayonnaise, a packet of Lipton Recipe Secrets with an egg and some bread crumbs and you are on your way to the most scrumptious meatballs EVER. In fact, my guys love them so much, I rarely bother to use ground beef when I do meatballs in any of my recipes.

Of course meatballs are always best with noodles… at least according to my guys.
While not identical to pasta, zucchini zoodles are an amazing alternative when you are looking to pump up the nutrition in your meal. Toss in a pan with a little olive oil to heat through and you get a delicious option that even a die hard pasta fanatic will love.
And what ties everything together are delicious blistered tomatoes cooked in Sir Kensington’s Pepperoncini Dressing and Marinade.
Enjoy a classic vinaigrette with a tantalizing twist. Bright pops of citrus, real fruit, 100% sunflower oil make this dressing a great choice for your favorite salad and I think it works perfectly when paired with fresh tomatoes.
It takes less than five minutes to prepare the most flavorful tomato topping that’s fresh and absolutely delicious. Skip the jarred tomato sauce and go with fresh flavor instead!
