What you see above is not any ordinary burger…it’s a jam-packed with so much big flavor you’ll have a hard time putting it down!
While it starts as a basic cheeseburger once you start piling on the bacon, jalapeños, crispy onions, Heinz mustard and lots of sweet thick Heinz BBQ sauce, you end up with an explosion of big flavor! Once you try this burger you may not be able to go back to eating a basic cheeseburger.
Obviously you can adjust the quantity of toppings to suit your taste. While Jim doubles the amount of jalapeños, my boys don’t do spicy, so they skip the jalapeños entirely and instead squeeze on extra Heinz BBQ sauce.
Get creative and make your Cowboy Burger exactly how you like it!
- Approximately 1 1/3 lbs ground beef
- 2 teaspoons seasoned salt
- 8 slices of cooked bacon
- 4 slices of thick cut cheddar cheese
- Fresh jalapeño, sliced
- 1 cup crispy fried onions
- Heinz Mustard
- Heinz BBQ sauce
- Preheat the grill to high heat.
- Mix the ground beef with the seasoned salt and shape in 4 equal sized patties.
- Grill the burgers for 6 to 7 minutes total (for medium burgers), flipping the burgers at least once during cooking. Do not press down on the patties at any time.
- Grill the buns if desired.
- Before removing the burgers from the grill, add the cheddar cheese and allow to melt.
- Build your burger by adding a layer of Heinz Mustard to the bottom bun.
- Add the cooked burger then top with the bacon, sliced jalapeño and crispy friend onion.
- Drizzle with Heinz BBQ Sauce.
- Add the top bun and serve!
