Every year I look forward to gathering with my friends for our annual cookie exchange. In fact, I usually end up participating in two or three parties with different groups of friends.

This year is going to be a little bit different but I am determined to find a way to celebrate. So I came up with a way to share some holiday cheer AND great taste. Instead of gathering to swap goodies, my friends and I will be baking and sharing treats from afar.

This week, I will be dropping off large cookie tins and one box of Ziploc® brand holiday bags to nine of my local friends. We have all agreed that each of us will bake two different kinds of holiday treats and package them all into Ziploc® brand holiday bags. By the end of the week, we will each have filled 20 bags of goodies (10 bags filled with each type of holiday treat). All 20 bags will go into one of the big cookie tins (labeled GIVE) and then put on our porch for a socially distanced cookie exchange.

Over the weekend we will all drive from house to house, taking tasty treats from the “give” tin while filling the “get” tin with our own prepared treats! By the time our cookie exchange is done, we’ll end up with a big tin filled with amazing treats.
