I can say that it’s delicious as I have already tried it. I knew exactly what I wanted to try with the Turmeric Pasta…a big batch of Butter Chicken! My recipe is easy to make and tastes amazing…you can skip your local takeout and make this at home for a fraction of the cost.

My guys raved about this dish. In fact there wasn’t a drop left in the pan…guess I’ll be adding it to my menu again soon!

Butter Chicken With Turmeric Pasta

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs cut into 1″ chunks
  • 5.3 oz plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 teaspoons cumin, divided
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala, divided
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, divided
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 teaspoons ghee, divided
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 10 oz box Ronzoni Turmeric Pasta, cooked according to package instructions
  • cilantro for garnish, if desired
  1. Combine the chicken, yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, ginger and 1 teaspoon of cumin, one teaspoon garam masala, one teaspoon of turmeric, salt and chili powder and mix to combine. Cover and marinade the chicken for 4 hours (or overnight).
  2. Heat one teaspoon of ghee in a large skillet and cook half of the marinated chicken for approximately 4 -5 minutes, turning once. Remove to a plate and set aside.
  3. Add another teaspoon of ghee to the pan and cook the remaining chicken for 4 – 5 minutes. Remove to the plate and keep warm.
  4. Add the remaining 2 teaspoons of ghee to the pan and cook the onions for 3 – 4 minutes, until cooked through and translucent.
  5. Stir in the remaining teaspoon of cumin, 1 teaspoon of garam masala as well as well as the final 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric.
  6. Add the heavy cream, tomato puree and cooked chicken and allow to simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Taste and add additional salt if needed.
  8. Serve over cooked Ronzoni Turmeric Pasta and garnish with cilantro, if desired.
