While you are pulling out your supplies to get your home clean for spring, don’t forget about cleaning the areas where you store all your food.

Most of us spend a good amount of time looking for great deals and stocking up on those awesome sales at Publix. It’s a good idea to go through and get rid of any perishables that are past their expiration date!

This is the perfect time to give your fridge and pantry a really good cleaning.

Empty out your entire refrigerator, including the items in the shelves in the door and check each item. Toss anything that might be old or things you know that you won’t use. This is the perfect opportunity to take inventory and see what you have on hand so you can plan your upcoming menus.

Bits of food and any liquids that might have spilled can get caught in all those little cracks and nooks. While all the food is out, I like to pull out the glass shelves and all the drawers and then spray everything down with Windex^® Original Glass Cleaner. A quick wipe down and my fridge is sparkling clean.

Do the same in your pantry. Work shelf by shelf, making sure to wipe down each surface before the food is returned. With just a little bit of effort you can have your fridge and pantry in great shape.
