With Valentine’s Day coming up, I wanted to share a recipe that I made for a recent get together I had at my house. It might just come in handy for any of you who want a sweet treat that won’t bust your diet!
I usually always have some kind of fruit bowl or tray available for the kids. My husband always picks on me saying that I should just put out a bag of chips and call it done. But it makes me feel better having that healthy option available. I always hope that if they see that fruit, they’ll stop and add a few pieces to their plate as well. Well, this time, I added a little extra enticement and put out some Fruit Dip with tray of fruit. It was a huge hit but I am not sure if it was the kids or adults who liked it more!
Luckily it’s a super simple recipe that uses just three ingredients—cream cheese, yogurt and Carnation Breakfast Essentials®. I decided to make three different flavors for my party to give everyone a little variety. Just grab your ingredients and pull out your mixer and you can have a tasty dip that’s ready in just minutes!

- 4 oz light cream cheese
- 1/2 cup low fat vanilla yogurt
- 3 tablespoons of your favorite Carnation Breakfast Essentials® powder
- Place all ingredients in a medium bowl and beat with a mixer until smooth and creamy.
- Serve with your favorite fruits.
While chocolate covered strawberries are fabulous, if you are dieting you can whip up some chocolate fruit dip with strawberries and you still get great taste without all the calories!
