- What are some things that have you scrambling at the last minute around the holidays?

Typically, it’s that one gift that I didn’t think of. It’s like that last minute party you’re invited to and have to bring a white-elephant gift.
Hopefully, made my last “I need this” trip to Publix this morning. The turkey is thawing in the refrigerator.
Busy weekend, and last minute baking, cleaning, and list checking on Monday & Tuesday.
We typically travel to family members homes for the holiday but this Christmas I am excited to be hosting the family at our home. I will be deep-cleaning and making sure the decorations are ‘just right.’ My husband will take the lead on the main course and I’ll help out with side dishes.
I’m always scrambling to make sure the house is clean. I usually prep all of the food first so that clean up is after the kitchen has been wrecked. I’m scrambling to vacuum, wipe things down, clean bathrooms, etc.
Usually scrambling to clean, set up of the kid table and main tables.
cleaning supplies is what i am always needing.
cleaning the house
I feel I have so much time, then suddenly I have no time! I always have grand plans to make pies and it just never materializes!!
Last minute gifts for teachers and kids friends!
Just everything! So much to do and so little time! Just stressing right now!
I’m on schedule.
I’d say the only thing I scrabble with is timing to get all the food in the table hot at once.
I always leave the gift wrapping to the last minute and then sometimes I can’t find the gift that I hid in a safe place, then I’m really scrambling.
Clean, clean, clean!!! If you do it to early, you hafta do it all over it again!
shopping for presents
I struggle with keeping my house clean. It stresses me out that up until the last minute, there is always a mess somewhere. Between the kids and the puppy, cleaning my house if like shoveling snow during a blizzard.
What leaves me scrambling is getting everyone ready to travel when we go to a relative’s house. Everyone has a list so I have to get them checked off before we leave.
I often find myself scrambling to pack to head off to visit relatives. Worth it in the end!
There are two people that I need to buy gifts for and I cannot decide what I want to give them. I keep changing my mind which means I will be scrambling at the last minute to make a final decision.
I work so many hours 6 days a week that I struggle with everything.
Cleaning the bathrooms for company
Last minute gift giving
Last minute gift buying
The thing that always keeps me scrambling is those little last minute gifts: neighbors, teachers, mailman, etc.

Cleaning and keeping things clean and tidy with 3 boys! 🙂 Working and trying to get all of the ingredients!
I try to get my desk cleaned off at work. I really try to get everything caught up so that I can enjoy my holiday. I love not stressing about what is waiting for me on Monday!
I try to shop for my meal the weekend before but I can not fight the urge to run into Publix on Wednesday night just for the mental rush! Something about the frenzy just kick starts the holiday spirit.
I always seem to forget something at the store and have to make another trip for it, like yesterday went shopping and forget the milk so will be having to make a trip for that and anything else I forgot or find I’ll need.
I am always scrambling to do some last minute cleaning.
Finding just the right gift for family.
I usually forget one thing that leaves me scrambling at the last minute. It might be ice or enough drinks or even something simple like napkins when company is coming to my house.
There’s always something I forget, but luckily I have people that can run out to the store while I cook.
For me, it’s keeping the house presentable because last-minute guests always seem to drop by when it’s at its worst! The present wrapping, cooking, baking and getting ready for the holidays keep generating messes and it’s hard to keep up.
Everything!! I live 800 miles away from most of the family so if I don’t travel then I have to do everything myself so I’m always scrambling!!
Trying to arrange the house for guests
Last minute cleaning has me scrambling.
Getting everyone and letting them know they are invited.
