Spring Cleaning Tip – Refresh Your Refrigerator & Pantry

Apr 7, 2016 | #, Deals | 2 comments

refrigeratorWhile you are pulling out your supplies to get your home clean for spring, it’s a great time to refresh your pantry too!

We all spend a good amount of time looking for great deals and stocking up on those awesome sales at Publix. Often we may find that we have a few too many items and it’s a good idea to go through and get rid of any perishables that are past their expiration date!

Empty out your entire refrigerator, including the items in the shelves in the door and check each item. Toss anything that might be old or things you know that you won’t use. You’ll get the opportunity to take inventory and see what you have on hand so you can plan your upcoming menus. Be sure to have your bottle of Windex® Original Glass Cleaner handy for all those glass refrigerator shelves and you can take care of any little messes while you’re at it!

Do the same in your pantry. Work shelf by shelf, making sure to wipe down each surface before the food is returned. I have wood shelves so Pledge® Lemon Clean is what I use to remove dust and any debris that might have collected on the shelves. It works great and leaves my pantry smelling fresh!

Don’t forget that you can get everything you need to make quick work of cleaning your home when you shop at Publix. Take advantage of these great deals and be sure to grab your coupons!

  1. I do not see the Pledge deal in the flyer… is it unadvertised?

  2. Just did this. Put everything in coolers while I cleaned. Of course I always wait until I don’t have much in there.

Once a week, I go through my fridge and toss all those leftovers that will not be eaten in the next couple of days so cleaning is not that difficult.
