We have been talking spring cleaning this week.
While cleaning might not be your favorite part of the day, there are lots of things you can do to make the task a much more pleasant experience! After all, there is nothing more rewarding than a clean home.
Often we avoid cleaning as it seems to take up too much time. If you plan ahead and get organized before you start cleaning, you’ll be able to cut the time spent managing the mess and have more time to do the things you love!
Yesterday we talked about tackling tasks a little at a time so that cleaning doesn’t feel so overwhelming. Why not take it a step farther and actually make a list of tasks that need to be completed. You’ll be able to see exactly what’s needed to be done and track your progress. It’s very motivating to watch that to-do list dwindle down and especially exciting to check that last thing off the list!
Organization may actually help you clean less! Once you have completed your deep spring cleaning you can avoid the need for another heavy cleaning with a quick maintenance cleaning once per week! Make time for the quick touch up cleaning and you’ll actually save yourself time in the long run! Think of your list as a little reminder or something that keeps you on track.
You’ll also need to make sure you have all the right tools for the job BEFORE you get started. Do an inventory of your cleaning supplies and make a list of what you’ll need then head into Publix and take advantage of the sales and stock up so you can get everything you need at a great price!
