Sandwiches are a big part of my week. I pack a couple each day in the boys’ lunchboxes. I make them several times a week for my husband and for myself as well. Heck, I even make sandwiches for dinner on occasion.
There’s really nothing better than a good sandwich. The best part is that the options are endless – you could make a different sandwich every day if you wanted to! You can easily change up your sandwich by switching out the meat, the cheese or even the veggies. Try out different bread options to really make it fun. Grill it or eat it cold—you can’t go wrong as long as you use good ingredients!

In order to make my little ones eat I have to get creative. I make “ants on a log.” I take celery put peanut butter inside the groove and place raisins on top of the peanut butter. It looks just like ants walking on a log. My kids love it! I usually make them a turkey and cheese sandwich to go along with it. To make the sandwich exciting I just use cookie cutters to cut the sandwiches into fun shapes! I’ll do anything to get them to eat.
My girls love a plain sandwich with mustard, Muenster cheese and smoked turkey breast on toasted bread. Sometimes they will put it in the microwave for a few seconds to melt the cheese. :o)

I use a Flat Bread, spread cookie butter, or peanut butter, or Nutella all over it. Peel a whole banana, lay it on top of the spread, wrap it up, and voila! Enjoy it as a wrap, or cut into bite size “banana sushi”

My kids love when I make them sub sandwiches at home. I put them on a fancy roll, with deli chicken, tomato, lettuce, mayo, and cheese.

We love a twist on the Monte Cristo sandwich. We spread raspberry jelly on the bread, then make grilled cheese with cheedar, swiss, turkey and ham lunch meat, and thinly sliced apples. So yummy!!
Not particularly creative, but I boil half a cup of basmati rice and toss it into a bowl of guacamole (2 avocados, some lemon, some salt, and tons of black pepper). It tastes really good!
One of my crazy ones that my son loves it frozen homemade waffle pbj sandwiches . My husband and my favorite is chickens salad with pecans and grapes with a military- grain bread. Yummy.
Turkey or ham with cream cheese and jam on toast never fails to deliver.
Squaw bread with mayo, lettuce, tomato, roast beef topped with avocado slices and a sprinkle of salt. Simple but so good.
Good ole egg sandwiches on English muffins! Fried egg, slice of Munster cheese, and a slice of fried Canadian ham on lightly toasted English muffin! Yum! I serve this for lunch along with some fresh fruit on the side.
I love Hillshire thinly sliced ham, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, sliced olives on a Hoagie roll with mayonnaise on one side and honey mustard on the other side
I use the low carb tortilla and fill it with left over salad , tuna or chicken salad and for some sweet I throw in a few craisins with Italian dressing !! Last time I made this my grandaughter kept wanting to eat mine !!
oh I make a chicken with mozzarella, sun dried tomatoes, and pesto sandwich pressed-it is awesome!
Cutting PB and J into shapes is about as creative as I have been, but I did just order a thermos for my child and plan on figuring out some new options for her lunch.
I make the best open-faced Dagwood sandwhich. I add turkey, ham, and veggies. Then melt the cheese. Add pickles and cucumbers. Then crush your favorite potato chips on top. It is so delicious!
I love to make avocado chicken salad on a croissant! Yummy!
I enjoy making a delicious sandwich on telera bread with grilled chicken, pico de gallo, a spicy mayonnaise dressing, pickled jalapenos and I top it off with some cheddar cheese and heat the entire sandwich and it is absolutely delicious, a little messy to eat but completely worth it.
Old standby: Boars Head Pepper Turkey and Provolone on Publix 5-grain bread with mayo, lettuce + avocado & tomato slices on the side in a separate container to keep them fresh. Salsa & chips on the side as well.
I get creative with leftovers…..today was Salmon on whole grain with lettuce, tomato & homemade tartar sauce…yumm!
leftover rotisserie chicken, shredded, mixed with a tbs mayo and ranch powder to taste. Add craisins or fresh grapes, along with a tbs nuts (I like pecans). Spread on a tortilla or wrap, along with fresh baby spinach. YUM.
We do a lot of leftovers here. However, I will change tacos into taco salad using Doritos instead of taco shells and add the obvious lettuce, tomato, shredded cheese, and also cheese dip to up the flavor.

My kids love pasta and hot dogs, so I cut 1 inch sections of hot dogs, pushed spaghetti through the hot dog pieces, boiled them until the pasta was cooked and served with cheese on top. Kids LOVED it.

The most original thing I make my daughter is Peanut Butter & Jelly sushi rolls! I make the sandwich, cut the crusts off, then roll them into little sushi rolls! It’s the only way I can get her to eat a sandwich at school!

We like to have a make your own pizza lunch. I lay out flat bread, tomato sauce, and lots of toppings (pepperoni, onion, spinach, mushrooms, black olives, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese). A special treat is when I have extra meats around like cooked ground beef or bacon. My family never seems to tire of pizza, especially when they build it to their own tastes.

My favorite sandwich since I was a kid is what I call a condiment sandwich-ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, pickles and cheese on two slices of bread. Yum!
Cuban sandwich! Toast the bread, spread some mustard, use a good slice of Swiss cheese, a few slices of ham and sliced pork. Add the pickles and enjoy!!!
I call my sandwiches DAGWOOD’S because I throw everything I can find in the fridge on there to make the biggest SANDWICH can!

I use sandwich rounds to make a ham and turkey sandwich. I then use little candy eyes and fruit to make a face on the top of the sandwich. My kids love it!
We love peanut butter, honey and banana sandwiches or wraps. We love the Eureka bread! So simple and so delicious! I also love to make my kiddos a quick pasta salad with tri-color rotini, apples, raisins, cucumbers, (and whatever else they are in the mood for), all tossed with some coconut oil to keep the pasta from sticking. Ends up being very colorful and it works great in their lunchboxes! 🙂

My favorite sandwich is a ham and melted cheese on toasted wheat bread with nuts in it. I’m simple what can I say.
Pita bread veggie sandwiches are the best. Warm whole wheat pita, then fill with avocado, cucumber, onion, hard-boiled egg, mushrooms, grated cheddar cheese, red pepper flakes, and alfalfa sprouts.
I follow your blog and I ‘like’ you on facebook. My favorite lunch …. Mix 1/4 cup of ranch dressing with 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese. Spread on a sub roll. Top with hot diced chicken, caramelized onions, provolone cheese. I broil mine till the cheese is bubbly but that’s optional.
I like to make flatbread sandwiches with hummus, spinach, banana peppers, slice of tomato, slice of cheese, different lunch meats together like turkey, ham, chicken & pepperoni. With a side of rice chips, YUM!!
My twin twelve year old boys love the grilled cheese sandwiches. They will sometimes make an entire loaf of bread with velveeta cheese slices. Our adult version that we make at the same time is Gruyere cheese, smoked gouda, and Havarti on a sourdough bread grilled to perfection with tomato’s. Homemade garlic rosemary pickles on the side.
My son is so easy, ham and cheese or PBJ. My favorite is chicken salad made from leftover rotisserie chicken with mayo, dried cherries, nuts, and onions.
My favorite decadent lunch is a grown up grilled cheese with sliced pastrami or corn beef, havarti cheese, carmelized onions and stone ground mustard on really good marble rye bread. I may need to run to Publix tomorrow for the ingredients . . .

Grown up tomato and cheese sandwich
Cibbatta bread
Roma tomatoes
Fresh mozzarella cheese
2 tlbs Roasted Garlic
4 tlbs Mayo
1 tlbsSugar
2tlbs garlic salt
Coconut oil
Directions: preheat oven to 375°.
slice tomatoes place on a baking sheet, mix together sugar and garlic salt. Drizzle coconut oil on tomatoes and sprinkle the seasoning mixture on top. Roast tomatoes for 20 min.
Mix roasted garlic and mayo together spread on bread.
Slice mozzarella place on top of bread.
Place bread each piece open in oven long enough to melt cheese.
Remove and place roasted tomatoes on sandwich. Close sandwich and slice on a diagnal.
Our 11 yr old son loves this as does our friends.
I have gravitated to making wraps as it is a great way to use any bits of leftover meats, vegetables, or cheese . I add any variety of sauces, dressings, horseradish or mustards to add a different flavor and make it more interesting.
My favorite is a toasted club sandwich. I love the combination of ham,turkey and bacon, Yummm!
Well, this probably isn’t to creative, but sometimes I’ll make a Nutella and banana sandwich. It has some sweetness to it and provides some potassium!

I’m a basic sub sandwich gal with lettuce, tomato, pickles, cheese and mustard. Yep, can’t stand mayonnaise. 🙂
Tow slices rye bread. Slather with mustard. Cover one side with a generous portion of ham and top it with swiss cheese. Place both pieces in a toaster oven until the cheese is melted. Top the cheese with creamy cole slaw. Put the second piece of rye on top and enjoy!
The most creative has to be when making bento box lunches, which include vegetables, fruits, cheeses, wraps and we take these on the go for picnics.

We have a panini maker and love making sandwiches with deli meat, pepperjack cheese and banana peppers.
With 3 growing boys, it’s not always easy to make a nutritional and creative meal that everyone likes! One meal that is always sure to please everyone is make your own pizzas. I buy the Flat Out wraps or Mama Mary pizza crusts. I put out pizza sauce and light mozzarella shredded cheese. Then everyone can top with their desired turkey pepperoni, onions, olives or diced peppers…….MMMMMMmmmmmmmmmm
My new favorite lunch is mini turkey sandwiches. I use Hawaiian rolls with lettuce and slice of bacon. They are small and fun size perfect for the kids.
We love sandwiches/wraps and make them about 6 days a week for lunches and sometimes dinner too. Like you all do. I make all kinds..many grilled or baked.
The most unique is my grilled Brie encroute sandwich on thick crusty whole grain. Slices of ham and turkey, pecans or walnuts, Turkish figs, apples and Brie..too die for.
Another favorite is my baked Italian sub..layers of meat and cheese, olives, pepporcini, and artichokes. Italian seasonings…or any combo of ingredients you want..this is hearty, easy perfect for parties or dinner. For the bread layers use your fave artisan, Italian or I like crescents..the large container (2 one for top one for bottom). Assemble, the pour a layer of milk and eggs over it all..cover and bake..the bomb!
Also delish..although not as unique are lobster rolls. Shrimp salad, delish fried crab sandwich with a sherry sauce cream sauce and avacodo. Oyster po boys..yum

I like to make turkey grilled cheese sandwiches and pair that with a pickle for my son and husband! We like to butter the bread add it to the pan, then add the cheese, throw in some seasonings, add the other piece of bread and grill/toast in a pan. It turns out great every time.
One of my favorite sandwiches to make for my family is Roast beef, colby jack cheese, with sauteed gr pepper, onion, and mushrooms on top of that…. then grilled….not good for calories but oh so Yummy!
Ok – so one of our favorites is peanut butter and pickle sandwiches!!! I grew up eating these, and have my family hooked on them . . . be sure to use sweet pickles – yum!
Even though my kids are in their teens, when I get the chance to make lunch for them, I still try to cut things into shapes and make for a cuter presentation. They laugh at me, but I know they both love it.
I like to make Italian style sandwiches with whole wheat bead, Italian meats from Publix and some hot peppers! My son loves the subs toasted a little bit.

With five little ones and a hungry husband we now go through about three loaves of bread a week. The best part is that my three oldest girls (ages 9, 7 and 5) can make their own. Here are some good examples of what I see coming around the kitchen bar: Nutella on toasted bread; peanut butter and raisins; mustard, ketchup and pickle; hot mozerella and roasted turkey…I feel I should also mention a staple sandwich at my mother’s house: pickle and cheese sandwiches. My now thirty-year-old brother stops by for one every day that he works nearby. 😉

I put smoked turkey and provolone on corn tortillas and warm in the toaster oven. When the cheese melts, I remove from oven and top with sliced avocado and ranch dressing, then roll the tortillas and secure with a toothpick. Delicious!

My son only eats one kind of sandwich, ham with cheese. I do decorate and leave messages on his sandwich bag and like to add “surprises” once a week to the daily rotation. He really loves when his dog sends him a message in his lunch.
Grilled chicken with some asin sesame dressing and some crunchy noodles and sliced almonds on a Publix bun. The best!!

Cuban sandwich! Take the bread, spread some mustard( I have to have mayo), place a slice of Swiss cheese, a few slices of Hillshire ham and leftover pulled pork. Add the pickles and grill in pan. Nice and hot.
Truth be told, lunch here is typically whatever leftovers I can pull together, but my favorite food ever, is a cold cut sand which, with a variety of lunch meats,, cheese, mayo peppers and onions, lettuce and some dill pickle slices. My!
My family loves bacon, lettuce, and tomato but I always try to change it up and serve them in a pita pocket or with avocado spread.

My youngest son can eat ham and cheese sandwiches for breakfast , lunch and dinner if I let him . I always use shape cutters and put a sliced pickle on the side . My older kids love sub sandwiches with ham , chicken, turkey , cheddar , swiss , american cheese , lettuce , pickles , and for the older ones tomato . We make those for lunch and sometimes for a quick dinner .
We love a zesty Greek salad sandwich. Chicken, arugala, feta, tomatoes, lemon zest and olives. Mix them all up with a little greek salad dressing and you have an amazing sandwich! Yummm!!!
I put cooked chicken, mayo, and a packet of ranch dressi in the food processor and blend until smooth. I take the mixture and spread it on a flour tortilla and top with cheddar cheese. I then top with another tortilla and fry till warm and crispy for a yummy chicken ranch quesadilla.
Turkey and Cheese on Publix multi grain bread is my favorite.
Turkey with roasted tomatoes and mozzarella on crusty french bread is my favorite!

What’s better than a classic BLT? I like to use mayonnaise with basil (the squeeze tube you find the Publix produce dept works perfectly) mixed in as a special twist.
We like wraps with veggies cheese and meat. Add fruit and we’re good!

I use fresh wheat bread, a dab of Miracle Whip Lite, mustard, lettuce, tomato (fresh from the garden if possible), turkey, and Kosher Dill strips.
My family loves peanut butter, banana, and honey sandwiches.
The kids love to have an egg, bacon and cheese quesadilla for lunch, a side of strawberries with yogurt to dip.
My son loves hummus with avocado mixed in, on a tortilla shell. 🙂
We love a good BLT. Toasted bread, farmers market fresh tomatoes so big, that one slice covers the entire piece of bread, extra crispy bacon and lettuce, with a good sprinkling of salt and pepper!

I love when I can get sandwich meat on sale to take for my lunch! I take sandwich round bread, place my deli meat (either turkey or ham, sometimes both), spinach leaves, a slice of Sargento white cheese, a slice of tomato and banana peppers. What’s best is that everything is purchased on sale/using coupons!

Sounds really strange but . . . Pumpernickel bread, cream cheese, bacon, and dates. The combination of sweetness from the dates with the smoky bacon and the creamy cheese is to die for!

My father used to make us kids a “special” sandwich when we were sick or just feeling down. It wasn’t really about the ingredients (although my fav was tuna and tomato), but how he cut the sandwich. He would cut it in all kinds of crazy shapes – or sometimes just quarter it and then stand up the sandwich quarters like a fort. Funny that something so simple could bring such joy. Now I do it with my kids. They’ll say “mom can we have the “special” sandwich?”
A good sub is always a hit – just basics really, ham, turkey, pepperoni, chicken, provolone, cheddar, lettuce, mayo.
Love a good slice of ham, chicken, or turkey, American cheese, fresh, crisp lettuce and nice ripe slice of tomato with just a thin spread of mayo on soft, white enriched bread. Yum! So good, warm or cold!

We like to have a nacho bar for lunch, using whatever meats we have left over from previous dinners, ground beef or chicken. I set out different topping options: black olives, rinsed black beans, refried beans, salsa, diced tomatoes, lots of cheese, shredded lettuce, jalapeño, ect. My boys top their chips how they like and then we toast them in the oven and they turn out delish.
I love to toast two slices of whole wheat bread; one side has pepper jack cheese and the other has a spiced breadcrumb mix sprinkled with olive oil on it. I add a couple of slices of ham and homemade freezer pickles with onions. Yum!

Eggplant salad open sandwich. It’s a little bit of work but delicious . Roast the eggplants until they get soft inside, peel the skin. Chop the eggplants, add some chopped onion and homemade mayo. Spread on a slice of bread and enjoy with tomatoes . Yum

A long time favorite sandwich of mine is ham, peanut butter and tomatoes. It sounds weird but the flavors are really good together!
I love to add avocado to my sandwiches. Whether it’s a turkey sandwich with avocado or a chicken (with leftover chicken). It goes well on regular sliced bread or in a wrap.
I love arnold 12 grain bread with turkey, black wax cheddar and sabra guacamole….and bacon, because bacon.
My most creative lunch is a baked potato bar! As for sandwiches, I really like to add hummus to them, it has healthy fats and proteins and adds a lot of flavor.
Just love a good Grilled Cheese with a variety of quality cheeses….now that’s Special!
As a child, my mom would always eat cheese and pickle sandwiches (a pregnancy craving that stuck for life…She used to joke that I was going to be born a pickle with how many she ate during her pregnancy with me). As a kid, I always loved the summer days when we would sit on the back porch with our cheese and pickle sandwiches, and talk/laugh for hours. As a grown adult, it is still a favorite (although my husband thinks it’s a weird lunch choice), and brings back such good childhood memories every time I eat one!

We are traditional “ham & cheese” lovers, but the Vlasic Farmer’s Garden pickles make a great pairing!
I don’t get super fancy with lunches since I have to eat at work every day, but sometimes I make chicken caesar wraps, with lettuce, cheese, dressing, and chicken wrapped up in a tortilla. Really easy and super yummy!
My entire family loves “chimichangas” which we make by boiling a whole chicken, shred the meat and season with a few packets of taco seasoning. Fold the meat into a tortilla with a little shredded cheese and fry lightly on each side with oil to seal the pocket. We freeze them and toast in a toaster oven!
My boys love a walking taco… chili in a bag of fritos. Add some lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and olives. Quick and easy. Nothing fancy, but yummy!
The Hot Hawaiian:
Line a casserole dish with the bottom half of Hawaiian rolls. Top with sandwich meat and cheese. Put the top half of the Hawaiian rolls on top. Brush top with parmesan and garlic butter and bake at 325 for 20 mintues. MY KIDS LOVE THIS!!!!
For my daughter I’ll make peanut butter and banana sandwiches but shape the banana into a smiley face on the sandwich. Then I take snack foods and put them in a sandwich bag with a clothes pin in the middle to fashion it like a butterfly. I leave a note in there telling her one reason she is special and how much I love her (she saves all my notes) and sometimes I’ll draw on the tupperware with dry erase markers little faces or something on the outside of the container. Anything to make her smile and brighten her day at school.

My mom used to make us chicken roll (that’s what we called it, but it was probably chicken deli meat), mayo, lettuce, and potato chips!!! Amazing combo and I still put chips on my sandwiches and subs today.

Since we have bad food allergies in my household, almost everything I make from scratch….so I make a tomato basil bread and we use that and make Veggie Sandwiches…..2 slices bread with mashed avacado, Bibb lettuce, thin sliced red onion, kirby cucumber slices, Pepadew peppers, thin sliced vine ripe tomatoes and a sprinkle of Feta cheese…it fills you up and super healthy YUM
One we call “Egg roll” – Spread peanut butter on tortilla and wrap around a banana.

I love a italian panini for lunch. I take two pieces of sourdough bread and put some marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese on each slice then in the middle i put pepperoni and salami. I really love this panini. I love to bring it for lunch whenever possible.
My most favorite and creative sandwich is 1 slice of white bread with mayo, smidge of mustard, 2 slices of ham, 1 slice of American cheese, 3 strips of bacon, 2 slices of tomato, 2 leafs of boston bib lettuce, 2 slices of chicken breast, 1 slice of American cheese topped with 1 slice of white bread with mayo and a smidge of mustard. The sandwich must be cut on the diagonal with a side of pickle and barbecue fritos.

No kids, but I still gotta eat lunch! I take a slice of flatbread (Flavored or not, doesn’t matter) and put whatever sandwich meat on it I have on hand (usually ham or turkey, sometimes big pepperonis) – usually 3-4 slices. Then, I put a couple pieces of sliced cheese on it. Then I load it up with olives and jalapenos. If I have some guac on hand, I slather that on there, too. BAM! Awesome lunch – better than a boring sandwich!

My 4 year old is very picky, so the sandwich itself isn’t the creative part (usually pb & nutella or turkey & cheese) but I use a cookie cutter to cut into fun shapes and that seems to make it taste yummier to him.
My go to for lunch right now is… pouch of tuna fish, chopped mini cucumber, diced onion, vlasic relish , a dash of mayo, a little salt and pepper. I eat it without bread. the crunchy from the cucumber satisfies me, so I don’t need crackers or bread. I love it .

Love a grilled cheese, ham & tomato sandwich on white wheat bread. But, for work, I generally keep it simple: ham, cheese (provolone or sharp cheddar), lettuce or spinach, mayo, tomato and a little S&P on Wonder Bread. I am a big fan of the bento-style lunchbox. What I love is the challenge of filling small sections with a variety of nutritious food – and also, sometimes, making it look interesting or silly or fun! I like to use cookie cutters large and small to cut sandwiches and cheese into shapes for both me and my daughter. Tortillas are also a favorite – pack a plain tortilla, fill a section of the bento with cheese, another with refried beans, and a third with salsa. Add some shredded lettuce and tomato in a separate container. Voila! At lunchtime, put together your fresh and delicious burrito! “_
As I have mentioned before, my kids are VERY picky eaters, especially for breakfast and lunch. They got bored at the traditional sandwiches, so I had to improvise…by a lot! 😉 They love when I take tortillas, spread cream cheese on it, then add ham, cheese and lettuce on it, then roll it up and slice them!

I also went on Pinterest, and saw a BANANA sandwich, but had to change things around….I put a whole banana on a hot dog bun, added peanut butter (as “ketchup”, and top it off with chocolate chips!
They are getting their fruit, but of course, a little something sweet doesn’t hurt 😉

I make a turkey & bacon sandwich with provolone cheese, arugula, and hummus. It’s wonderful!
I do a “build a flatbread” which is basically I lay out all the ingredients and the kids and I build what we want. They think it is so fun! Hummus and avocado spread is a basic, then there are tomatoes, cucumber, lettuces, feta, other cheeses, sliced veggies, and dressing to top it off. So yummy!
Well this post makes me hungry! My favorite thing to make for weekends, picnics, or having friends over is “the big sandwich.” Take a round Hawaiian bread loaf and cut out the top to make it bread-bowl style within an inch of the edge. Layer in cheese, meats, tomatoes, lettuce, mayo, and mustard. Always put the cheese on the bottom to keep the loaf from getting soggy and it’ll hold for hours! Shave some of the inside of the “top” off to flatten it out and put the lid back on the load. Slice in 8 segments and enjoy the tastiest sandwich ever.

Arnold Bread Country White, Kraft Light Mayo, 3 pieces of Bologna, 1 Piece of American Cheese, and 3 Bread and Butter Pickles. Cut in half. By lunch time the pickle juice mixes with the mayo. Delicious.

At work, I’m a basic sandwich kind of girl: Wonder bread, ham, sharp cheddar cheese, mayo, tomato, lettuce or spinach (or both), a little S&P and I’m good to go. At home, I like a grilled cheese, ham & tomato sandwich. My youngest child is all about the meat & cheese – no condiments and tomato on the side.
Recently, my son has been super into Star Wars, so I make him Yoda Toast. Two pieces of toast with whipped cream cheese spread on them and I put a drop of green food coloring to make the cream cheese green. I cut one piece diagonally and put it behind the whole piece for the ears and draw a face into the cream cheese. He loves it!

When I am pressed with time, I put sliced apples, peanut butter and toasted almonds with no salt on a box, with a banana and a cup of yogurt with me. It fills me up and it has balance nutrients.
Macaroni salad made with tuna, peas, mayo and Goya hot sauce. So good!
I am committed to earing more veggies, so on my sandwiches, I use half an avocado instead of mayo, add cold cuts and cheese.of chiice, then top it off with vlasik bold n spicy pickles. Yummy! Healthy!
I like to make myself a chicken salad wrap made with crock-pot cooked chicken thighs, (seasoned with cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper), homemade mayo and wrapped up in lettuce leaves. Add some homemade coleslaw on the side and you have a great Paleo lunch!
This was a staple when I was on the Whole30 program!
My favorite sandwich is ham chicken or turkey and provolone cheese on rye bread buttered and fried. Another one is grilled cheese with banana peppers.

My favorite sandwich lunch is Sliced turkey on toasted whole wheat bread with mixed spring salad greens, lettuce, tomato slices, shredded carrots and fresh cucumber slices with just a little mayo on one slice of toast and a little Ranch dressing on the other slice. Sometimes I add a couple of slices of crisp bacon and a slice of Havarti cheese. Nice and filling for a good lunch with a minmum of calories. I just add a pickle slice and maybe some cold saw to the plate and it’s perfect….

Chicken salad sandwich
Take a large bowl of chicken of your choice… Usually whatever we have made already. (Grilled chicken breast is my favorite).
Add a decent amount of helmanns olive oil maynoanse.
Add a squirt of spicy brown mustard.
Dice up 2 whole pickles or use a couple of scoops of dill relish.
Add dill weed to cover top layer of mix.
Add a couple shakes of garlic powder.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Stir….
Toast your favorite bread. (Spreading butter on bread and cooking on stove is my preferred method of madness).
Fill bread… I mean FILL… with chicken salad mix.
Place bread slices together.

We have a few go-to meals. 1) Sante Fe Beans and Rice (2 Cans Rotel, 1 Can Black Beans, 1 Can Corn — Simmer together, and add in cooked rice). This meal is cheap, and it is a hot meal that sticks with you. I pair that with fruit usually. 2) My second go-to is to put things on a stick. My children will eat so much more on a stick! For instance, if a banana has 1 brown spot, my son will not eat it. Add the banana with a few strawberries on a stick, and he is none the wiser. Also bread edges and end, they will eat if they are cut up small, on a stick with cheese and meat. 3) Leftover anything we had for supper!!
Since its New Years and I’m trying to be healthy I’ll give you my “healthy version” of a yummy Sandwich!
-Flat Out SpinachTortilla wrap
-light veggie cream cheese spread (helps seal it too)
-sliced Turkey
-sliced cucumbers
-Alpha sprouts
-sprinkle with shredded carrots
Roll up Tight using cream cheese to help “glue” or seal it together. Cut in half and Enjoy! (Can also substitute Hummus for Cream Cheese for added protein)
My mom and I love liver worst (good boreshead from the deli) on Pumpernickel bread with a strong Swiss cheese. It’s definitely an acquired taste and reserved for a “sometimes” sandwich:)

Being a semi-vegetarian, I’m always trying to be creative with fruits and veggies. My absolute most favorite “treat” lunch is balsamic tomato and mozzarella on garlic toast. I toast sliced french bread and rub raw garlic over the top. Top it with tomatoes that I marinate in balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper and then a slice of mozzarella cheese. I toast it again for another minute just to melt the cheese. It’s so delicious especially paired with a warm veggie soup. YUM!!!
I partially open some pita breads and place a tablespoon of ricotta in each one. Then I sprinkle some shredded mozzarella in there, and some grated parm. Close the pita and wrap in a small sheet of foil. Bake in the oven or toaster oven for about 20 minutes at 375. Great calzones for lunch! They make a pretty good supper, too, with a side salad!
My new favorite is a simple twist on a the ham & cheese sandwich. On whole wheat sliced bread:
1. Place a generous amount of thin-sliced chilled lunchmeat. Ham or chicken or turkey all work well. (TIP – place the lunchmeat “accordian-style” for extra texture)
2. Cover with pieces of brie cheese cut approx. 1/8″ thick
3. Cover with strips of fresh cucumber cut approx. 1/8″ thick (TIP – cut the cucumber lengthwise so that only 2-3 pieces are required. If the cucumber is cut traditionally, you will get lots of little pieces that will fall out)
The cucumber will provide far more “crunch” and texture than lettuce. The brie and cucumber each provide plenty of moisture so no mayonnaise or mustard is even necessary.
Nothing too fancy at my house ( I have picky eaters), but I do use cookie cutters to make my little boys’ sandwiches more interesting.
Nutella spread on lightly toasted grain bread topped with fresh strawberries and bananas. YUM!

To be creative with my sandwiches I add cheddar and provolone cheese to turkey and ham sandwich then grill them like grilled cheese. This makes all my sandwiches delicious and cheesy.

I’m pretty basic with sandwich’s I would say one that is a little bit different is turkey with a smashed chickpea and avocado sandwich.
My favorite is chicken or turkey layered with bacon, romaine lettuce, thinly sliced red onions, and my own spicy aioli mayo. My kids use regular mayo and ad a slice of cheese, cheddar works nice. I like the ciabatta rolls, or a hearty grain bread, something with substance.

Spread tortilla chips on a plate. Top with tomato sauce, shredded cheese, and pepperoni. Microwave for about a minute. Yum!

I live by myself, so sandwiches are a pretty easy way to have a whole meal. I love chibatta bread, toast it a little, then dress it with ranch, pile on some sliced ham or turkey, and a sprinkle of bacon bits. Lettuce, tomato, tada!

I make a London-port on hawaiian rolls. Take a roll and spread it with mayo, then layer on some shaved London-port and a few sprinkles of Pinot Grigio white wine vinegar right onto the meat. I also reserve a little for dipping! Feel free to add shredded lettuce and sliced tomato. Add a side of crunchy bbq chips and you have yourself a delicious lunch.

I’m not overly creative but I can make a mean sandwich. I take a hoagie roll, mayo of some variety plain or flavored, american cheese, ham and turkey and top it with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, olives, and a little touch of italian dressing. I don’t mean sub dressing I like to use Wishbone Italian dressing because it gives it more kick.
My great sandwich is made with Roast Beef, Turkey, Ham and Jalapeno Havarti Cheese – topped with light lettuce, mayo and spicy mustard – all of this deliciousness on a buttery croissant. Yum, yum, yum!

I try to eat low carb. I enjoy a chicken breast with a little tomato sauce or a slice of tomato and some mozzarella cheese. I also like to bring a hand full of pecans for the extra fiber and protein.
I butter the top and bottom of a hamburger bun and brown it in a pan just until it starts to get toasty. Then I take those out, put in some freshly sliced roast beef (shaved or thinly sliced at the deli) and sear the pile of beef on both sides. Just before I’m done, I put a slice of white American cheese on top of the beef and let it just begin to melt. Then slide it on the toasted buns, and enjoy! My whole family begs for these!

I make a ham and cheese roll up on a flour tortilla for my son, since they’re not allowed peanut butter and jelly at school.
I have to admit, I’m not the most creative, but I make ham roll-ups on a tortilla with cream cheese and my son loves it!!
The children I babysit think sushi is very fancy and a special treat. So, I make “sushi” for them a lot. I use wraps and fillings such as peanut butter & fruit, peanut butter & jam, cream cheese & vegetables, chicken tenders & cheese, cream cheese & nutella, etc. I tell them how sophisticated they are and they just eat it up! I guess you could call this a grilled cheese & turkey sandwich – I grill bread in melted butter in a skillet, add a slice or two of whatever cheese appeals to me that day and also pile on some thinly sliced Hillshire Farms turkey. When it’s all heated and the cheese is melted, it’s a fabulous treat! Add a dill pickle spear and potato chips to complete the meal. Yum!
I make different creations to try to get their taste buds going. Lately I have tried to bring Mexico flavoring with turkey and roast beef. using pita bread and adding some salsa to give it a kick..yum yum

We make Bento lunches with different themes. Sometimes it is an animal theme, sometimes it is a color theme, sometimes it is a texture theme. All are fun to look at and so delicious to eat. My kids always have fun guessing what the next day will bring and always look forward to lunch time!

This sandwich is awesome: pita or flatbread, Boursin or soft garlic cheese spread, roast beef, black olives, spinach and tomatoes. It’s so fresh and simple.
Smoked ham salad sandwich with potato chips, pickles and ice cold coke. I make egg salad. Then I chop about half a pound of Hillshire Farms Natural Ham and about a teaspoon of liquid smoke and add both to the egg salad and mix together. This makes a delicious smoked ham salad and my whole family loves it. Hillshire Farms Natural Ham is my oldest son’s favorite lunch meat. He is my picky eater.

I love a good salad. Breakup ham pieces in other with cheese, croutons, olives and dressing. Garlic bread on the side. All from Publix of course 🙂
Hillshire Farm Ham slices on Arnold Sandwich rolls with a smear of I Can’t Believe it is butter. Then add several tomato slices and kale leaves. A cup of Activia cherry yogurt and a few plain ol’ salty potato chips (Lays are good).
In our family of 4, our favorite has become the toasted bagelwich! Spread butter on each bagel half, and sprinkle garlic salt. Broil until desired toastiness. Place a slice of tomato, a slice of salami, and a slice of natural cheese on top. Broil again until cheese is melted. Let cool for 5 minutes, and enjoy! You can use any combination of cheese and meat. Our favorite is turkey, and jalapeno jack. Get creative with avocado, or mayo!

I am in college so I eat sandwiches almost every day. My favorite is a chopped fried chicken sandwich. I take fried chicken tenders or sometimes popcorn chicken from Publix and stir fry in a small amount of olive oil just to get it warm. I love hot sauce so several dashes of that go in. When warmed, I stuff a sub roll filled with the chopped fried chicken, spread with honey mustard, chopped up lettuce and tomato. If I have potato chips on hand, no matter what sandwich I am eating, I top them with crushed potato chips. Thanks.

With my daughter making food fun makes her more likely to eat it. At 8 she’s still picky so I have a monkey bento box I send her- I use food safe markers to color a face on her PBJ sandwich, use a small knife to turn her baby bel cheese into a lady bug, a baggie of pirate’s booty, pop a tiny water with flavor pack into it. I always include a note so she knows I’m thinking about her! She’s happy and I get to express my creative side!
This biscuit sandwich is so good, you can eat it any time of day. My grown children still ask for them. Take homemade (preferably) leftover biscuits and slice in half. Dip in an egg/milk mixture. Fry in a small amount of oil or butter til brown. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. I usually just pour the remaining egg/milk batter into the pan too but be careful you don’t want them soggy.
When done they will be lightly browned and you can put whatever you like best in the sandwich. We like bacon or sausage patties with a slice of cheese but you can use so whatever you have on hand; chicken, ham slices, etc. They are yummy without any filling.

I use a tortilla wrap with Trader Joe’s Chunky Guacamole spread, white american cheese, turkey and Boar’s head bacon. So YUM.
We like pizza roll-ups. They pack up great in the lunchbox too and can be eaten cold. We use refrigerated pizza crust and place our favorite pizza toppings and sauce and cheese, or sometimes we use lunchmeat instead. We roll the dough up and slice into pinwheels. Bake and enjoy!

My sandwich usually depends on what I have. Leftovers make for good sandwiches. My regular sandwich is toasted wheat bread with honey mustard, low sodium turkey and cheddar cheese. I toast it open face, so that I can add bread and butter pickles, lettuce and tomato before I eat it.

I absolutely LOVE Thanksgiving. So to give myself and the kids a little reminder of our favorite holiday, about once every 6-8 weeks I make Thanksgiving sandwiches.
Turkey lunch meat on whole wheat with homemade cranberry sauce, YUM. Sometimes I go all out and whip up a batch of stuffing to add to the sandwich.

My daughter is a soup addict. So I make a big pot on the weekend of different soups and then send it in her lunchbox with crackers and toasted pitas. She even loves them during the warm months.
My daughter and I make grilled cheese and pineapple sandwiches! You take white bread, smear on mayo to both sides, sprinkle a nice helping of shredded, sharp cheddar cheese and pile on 2 slices of canned, sliced pineapples. Then you proceed to toast it on both sides in a skillet with butter. Yumo!

We love to try and make our own versions of the famous Publix Subs! Lots of turkey and ham are used during our “build your own Publix Subs” nights at our home. The Hilahire Farm Pastrami is soooooooo yummy!
I like making a grilled sandwich with turkey and swiss to make a turkey rueben. Don’t forget the thousand island dressing. Yum!
At home, I cook a lot of Indian food (Biryani, curry, Tandoree, etc) and Chinese food (stews, Mongolian chicken, etc). So when there are leftovers, many times I pick out the chicken pieces, flatten them, wrap them in lettuce leaves and make a sandwich or two. Taste great!
I make my twin boys Publix Chicken Cordon sub at home for them. They love it.
My kids love just a good ole grilled cheese sandwich.

I love chicken salad sandwiches pretty much anyway you can make them. My favorite right now is wheat bread, chicken salad, mayo, deli mustard, lettuce, and provolone cheese. I know mustard on chicken salad sounds weird, but this is an amazing sandwich.

I am sure this will be an unusual post but whatever creative thing I make for lunch there is nothing better than sharing it with my family. It’s been a tough year for me and made me truly appreciate whats most important.
Our family favorite sandwich is Buffalo Chicken on Publix fresh baked Deli rolls…..I use the Tyson fajitas chicken strips bake them drench in buffalo sauce use several cheeses a good ranch dressing lettece and grape tomatoes! a lunch fit for a king!
I like to use flatbread and spread with hummus or pesto. Then I add shaved turkey, some fresh spinach leaves (my favorite lettuce type thing!) and whatever veggies I have on hand, julienned to make them easier to do the rollup – usually I have cucumbers, carrots, onions, sometimes sugar snap or edamame pea pods, zuchinni, yellow squash, things like that. I use the trick that sandwich shops do and roll very tightly then secure with plastic wrap and put in the fridge for 30 minutes or so. I don’t leave the sandwich in too long or the hummus will make it soggy. I have tried spreading the hummus or pesto on TOP of the spinach leaves and the sandwich won’t get soggy but it is harder to spread that way.

I use leftover shredded crockpot chicken and make chicken salad. Mayo, lemon, pecans, and celery. Throw some lettuce on croissants and you have a bistro style lunch!

Our family loves rotisserie chickens from the Publix deli. When we’ve finished having the breast, thighs and legs and still have some left, instead of using sandwich bread with the left-overs, I use flour tortillas to make Chicken Tortilla Wraps. I chop and dice the chicken up, add shredded cheese on top and roll and tuck the tortilla up. Anything else they want is added in a separate container so it doesn’t get soggy. I then roll the tortilla in parchment paper which is then put in a baggie. They can then remove the parchment paper from the baggie. The parchment paper allows them to briefly heat the chicken tortilla wrap in the microwave at school without heating the baggie. Voilà ! 🙂

Family feud make em’ yourself pizza bagel lunch. We all get together and we set up pizza stations with a variety of toppings at each station. Then each family member starts with a single regular size bagel and makes two pizza bagel pieces. It is loads of family fun and we use different ingredients each time. Everyone in the house loves this family favorite.
I personally like to spread Publix hummus on their 5-grain Italian roll, then add cooked ham and Swiss cheese. I top it off with spinach, tomatoes, onions, sliced cucumbers, sliced black olives, sliced green peppers, and sliced fresh mushrooms. I finish my meal off with some radishes, carrot coins, and some kettle cooked potato chips. Yum.

When my brother and I where younger, 30 something years ago, my mom worked 2 jobs so most meals we had to fend for ourselves. We would get tired of eating the same old thing every day so we tried to get creative, or so we thought. My mom owned an electric wok so my brother and I would get hot dogs slice them long ways down the center and cook them in the electronic wok. We called that creation “wok dogs”. Another one of our famous concoction was we would take a slice of white bread, add a slice of bologna and a slice of cheese and then toast it open faced in the oven until the bologna would create a “bowl” like shape with the cheese liquefied in the center. My littles don’t ever want much of any one thing. So we do bento box style lunches. When packing for pre-k I use mini containers for a small serving of carrots, grapes or berries, nut butter or hummus, string cheese, a slice of turkey rolled up and maybe some sort of cracker. I change out the combination of items depending on what is on sale but they don’t get bored, get a good variety of foods and have fun opening up the containers.
I’m not very creative but I love turkey and cheese in a wrap heated up.
My favorite sandwich is a hoagie roll lined with Boar’s Head Hard Salami, filled with lettuce/salad mix and topped with Italian dressing. Add some tortilla chips on the side (love the Publix brand White Corn ones!) and you have a perfect lunch!

My Favorite Lunch Sandwich:
2 Toasted slices of whole grain bread
3-4 thin slices of lower sodium turkey
1 slice of pepper jack cheese
1 egg over medium (runny yolk)
handful of arugula
avacado slices
put those all together and you have yourself a very healthy, yummy lunch!

I love to make a nice low carb/calorie cheesesteak with Joseph’s flax pitas, Publix deli roast beef, and Laughing cow cheese wedges. If i have time, I add sliced onions sauteed in cooking spray.

My daughter and I love Publix Italian Loaf. Boars Head Ham, Provolone Cheese, Mayo, Pickles, Lettuce, and she loves Tomato. And to top it off with a nice glass of Publix Lemonade! YumYum!
I bake a lot of homemade breads, rolls and bread sticks. We use them to make all sorts of lunches from sandwiches to mini pizzas. My daughter loves chicken salad on yeast rolls. My husband loves meats and cheeses on cheddar mustard bread or cheddar onion bread. I have found that homemade bread always makes lunch more interesting.

My family’s favorite lunch is a chicken salad made with chopped-up Publix lemon-pepper rotisserie chicken, or plain parboiled chicken breasts that I cook myself. I use that plus sweet green (or I use both green and red) grapes, mayo, Bragg’s liquid amino acids, fresh-squeezed lemon juice, parsley, crumbled cooked bacon (optional), freshly grated ginger root, and onion powder. Everyone who has ever eaten it has raved about it. It is a recipe I got somewhere, but tweaked it a little to make it our own by changing ratios of ingredients, substituting the Bragg’s for the original recipe’s Worchestershire sauce, and using fresh ginger instead of dried. It is out-of-this-world, melt-in-your-mouth good.

I love sliced turkey breast with lettuce and tomato. I have started spreading fresh made guacamole on it and I could eat it every day.
Creative is code for versatile around here. I try to have hawaiian rolls on special days because they can be sliced for the sandwiches or eaten whole for the “dinner roll” set. Ham and smoked (or spicy) turkey; sliced cheese and tomatoes (sometimes onions) round things out. A compliment of fresh fruit, citrus or melon gives a sweet kick and hand-held fun.
Grilled cheese using pepper Jack, pear and Sriracha. Sweet and spicy and good.
Tavern ham and mozzarella cheese on hoagie rolls baked in the oven until the cheese melts and topped with romaine, tomato slices, and Italian dressing. Yummy!!
Basic ham on rye with provolone, mayo and dill pickles is a fave of hubby and son around here. I’m mostly a salad or soup for lunch gal, but I enjoy a sandwich occasionally too.

Brown bagging it….every workday I bring a peanut butter on whole wheat bread sandwich to work . Boring yes, but it is filling – keeps me going all day, its fresh and I know exactly what I’m eating. I notice the amount of money my coworkers spend each day on running out to get lunch and it makes me love that sandwich even more.

For a treat I make a very yummy Hillshire Farm Turkey, ham, fresh mozarella, fresh basil, campari tomato, very thin sliced vidalia, romaine lettuce , grilled sandwich!!! Grilled with lettuce to add a special yummy crunch and color. I prefer it on whole grain, but works nice as a pressed sandwich with anything you choose. I mix a little olive oil with my fave spices, salt, pepper, etc. Bush on one side of bread and top with very thinly sliced vidalia onion, then Hillshire Farm turkey, then thinly sliced campari tomatoes, then fresh basil leaves according to taste, then thinly sliced fresh mozzarella, then Hillshire Farm ham. Let those flavors heat together!! When almost done, brush other piece of bread with olive oil and crisp in pan. Put it together and enjoy!!!! Also works great as an openface if you are watching your bread intake.

I grew up on sandwiches when I was a kid so I love them! The kids prefer grilled cheese, which I usually make with meunster/brie and ham. I like to add spinach and a tiny bit of pesto to mine and then flatten it real good. Tastes delicious!’?

Italian sandwiches for my family and friends. Start with herb and cheese rolls and pack on the honey ham, hot capicola, genoa salami, and provalone. Toast it open faced then add some vinegar and oil dressing.
My kids love chicken salad with grapes. I use a yummy publix rotisserie chicken. Peel and dice red apple and half green seedless grapes. Add mayo salt and pepper and mix.
I like to use Cuban bread spread with mayo and mustard, turkey and ham followed by swiss cheese. Then to press it I put a little bit of salted butter on the outside of the bread and place it on the stove with a press on top.
My favorite is the kitchen sink chicken salad sandwich. I think it’s a challenge to see if I can cook using what I already have. I season my chicken breasts with whatever spices I have on hand. I shred the chicken and add mayo, mustard, more spices, and whatever fruit and nuts I have on hand. Then I use it to fill whatever bread we have, whether it’s a tortilla, loaf, bread, or leftover buns.

We eat the usual fare of peanut butter and jelly around our house but once and a while the kids love a little extra so they opt to make a peanut butter, cheese Doritos and pickle sandwich. The kids love it!!

My favorite sandwich is more of a wrap but it is called Turkey Avocado Wrap I mix ranch dressing with salsa and a little bit of orange zest. Then I lay the tortillas on a cutting board, and spread the ranch mixture evenly over each one. Then I layer turkey, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and scallions evenly over each tortilla. Season with salt and pepper then roll it up like a pinwheel.

We make what my family calls “sandwich sushi,” often. We roll a slice of bread out super flat with a rolling pin, layer cheese and meat and roll it up tight with plastic wrap. The.n slice it and serve with honey mustard (or condiment of choice!) to dip and voila! Kid friendly sushi!

I love grilled cheese sandwiches. I think I’m still a kid at heart.
My favorite sandwich is a Steak Sub. I fry up peppers, onions and mushrooms and add a couple slices of provolone cheese. I use Roast Beef from the Publix Deli and the French Bread from the Publix Bakery. So good!!
I love a turkey, ham, muenster cheese and mayo sandwich on toasted bread. I then put it in the microwave for 15 seconds to melt the cheese, sooo yummy!
My favorite lunch is fresh veggies (broccoli, carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers, cauliflower, and celery) with either ranch dressing or hummus. So fresh and filling! Its not the most creative, but its healthy and delicious.
My favorite sandwich is 2 slices of Eureka! bread spread with Dijon mustard, Gruyere cheese, Hillshire Farm sliced ham, fresh spinach, avocado, and tomato. Put in microwave for 20 seconds and serve with Famer’s Garden by Vlasic on the side.
Favorite is a Monte Cristo made with ham, turkey and swiss!

Chicken Salad with cranberries and sliced almonds.
I love to wrap asparagus spears in turkey slices. Then I place them on a cookie sheet, drizzle very lightly with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, then bake for about 10 mins. They are low carb, healthy, and so good. Even better when dipped in a little honey mustard.
My daughter’s favorite (and mine too) is turkey and muenster on Publix’s Italian 5 grain bread. However, I’ve also made her banana, honey, cinnamon and peanut butter on wheat, which sounds more creative than turkey/cheese. 🙂

Carrots and fruit instead of chips and cookies.. I am so lucky that they love these things!
My son loves it when I make pizza as a sandwich. Toasted bread, a small bit of pasta sauce, mozzarella, ham, olives and sometimes pepperoni. Microwave until the cheese melts and voila, a pizza type sandwich. Its a quick lunch to bring to school and he can make it himself.

I love making my son lunches with piles of the smoked ham and turkey. He takes a lunch everyday and I have gotten really good at making Mommy’s Lunchables: ham, turkey, chunks of cheese with pickles, cheez its, go gurts and apples. My son is a creature of habit, so the most creative I can be is to tuck a note in to say LOVE YOU KID!! He likes that more than anything else!

My favorite sandwich is a tortilla with ham and turkey, swiss cheese, a thin slice or two of an apple and a few craisins, Fold as a wrap and heat in a frying pan with canola spray. Sometimes I will use a second pan on top to weigh it down a little, like a press. My teen aged sons prefer my chicken casadias, I boil and then shred the chicken and mix with picante sauce. Place a handful of chicken on half a tortilla add shredded cheese, fold and pan fry with a little oil spray. I make 50-60 of these at a time and freeze most of them. The boys will grab one or two and zap them in the microwave for a quick lunch or snack.

My favorite sandwich is toasted multigrain bread, smeared with a little garlic mayonaise (Smash a garlic clove by putting salt on it & smashing with the side of a chef’s knife and mix with jarred mayo or homemade), piled high with rotisserie seasoned chicken breast, topped with slice of avocado and roasted red pepper. I love to make a green or red leaf lettuce, Sabra hummus and Boar’s Head chicken roll-up. So easy and nutritious.
Children are all grown now. I do make lunch for hubby a nd myself. Love to make my version of a Chef’s Salad with fresh veggies, the Natural ham and turkey diced and some shredded cheese. It’s healthy and yummy!
One of my family’s favorite is bacon and baked macaroni & sharp cheddar cheese on grilled ciabatta bread. You can add a light garlic spread, pepper jack cheese or something else with a bit of a kick to keep you going! I personally squeeze a bit of fresh lemon juice on. I generally serve seasonal fresh fruit to compliment.
My fave is take a small loaf of frozen garlic bread prepare according to directions minus 1 minute. Then put sliced ham on each slice then top with havarty or a similar smooth melting cheese. Put under the broiler until melted and bubbly.

I love the Arnolds rounds, they were just on sale an I stocked up, they freeze great, along with that the Boarshead ham was on sale, yess it only like twice a years, got myself 2 lbs of that, it also freezes great an the deli clerk will glady put the ham in different bags . So now you have the rounds, the ham, some delicatessen style Boars Head mustard ,some avocado slices ,lettuce, a slice of tomato an if you like a slice of cheese an you have a very good sandwich. If you want add some chips, but the sandwich alone is more than enough. yes love shopping at Publix.

I like to make turkey wraps with hummus and veggies.
My absolute favorite sandwich is a nice italian style sandwich. A nice crusty hoagie roll with genoa salami, ham, capicola, and provolone cheese. Top with a little mayo, balsamic vinaigrette, lettuce, tomato, and dill pickle. Served with a side of crispy, kettle salt & vinegar chips!

I love a fresh chicken salad sandwich! Rotisserie chicken, grapes, celery, Mayo and walnuts on Multigrain bread with lettuce and tomato.
For dessert why not feel like a kid again with ants on a log using celery, peanut butter and raisins.
So some think this is crazy but my favorite and best lunch I make is a turkey sandwish with mayo, mustard, and potato chips. So yummy!!!!!
I have discovered a new twist on making an old fashioned grilled cheese. After you butter the bread just sprinkle garlic salt on the butter (just a hint) before you grill it. On the inside put your favorite cheese. I love Gouda or Havarti. Add a slice or two of tomato and a slice of chicken or turkey. Grill it to a light golden brown on both sides while the cheese gets nice and gooey on the inside. Of course you could also add bacon before it is grilled, but I prefer it without. Seriously, the hint of garlic salt since it is grilled in makes the sandwich rise to the next level. Enjoy!

Stuffed deviled egg sandwiches. I layer deviled eggs with different cheeses and meats, the current favorite being crisp bacon and cheddar cheese on toasted 5-grain bread.

I love honey roasted turkey, red apple slices, sharp cheddar cheese and brown mustard on toasted whole wheat bread.
I actually love a toasted turkey, avocado sandwich. I get some whole wheat bread toast it, then put a slice of cheddar cheese with red onion, 2 slices of avocado, some spinach leaves and some homemade siracha mayo to add a little kick.
But when I’m in a hurry I make a spinach salad using cut up turkey, with grape tomatoes, carrot, red onion, cucumber, feta cheese and a greek vinagarette.

I like to make a bbq chicken sandwich with pickles on a toasted bun.
I love to steam spinach and then I place a few pieces of lunch meat and then roll them together and top with a slice of cheese. And then place onto bread for the ultimate sandwich.
What I like to do is get 2 pieces of some really good rye bread, Butter both sides, take some leftover mac and cheese, some Hillshire Farms smoked chicken breast, with a slather of mustard and grill it up. yum, yum
I make 2 sandwiches for my hubby (he works in the field here in South florida). He gets one Ham with yellow cheese and romaine lettuce and a slice of tomato with mayo. Then one turkey with mayo, provolone, romaine lettuce and a slice of tomato. Both served on top of honey wheat bread! I like to make sure that he’s gets a yummy lunch since he doesn’t get home until 7:30pm. Good luck everyone!

I like turkey and swisson low calorie wheat bread with lettuce and Mayo.
I like to use the high fiber tortilla wraps or the spinach wraps and use chipotle ghouda , smoked turkey, baby spinach ,tomatoe and ranch dressing. It is my new addiction. Course and sandwiche made with the chipotle ghouda is awesome.
Making sandwiches of any kind into fun shapes for the kiddos. Ham and cheese made special!

I use Flatout Light Italian Herb. I put German bologna, american cheese, pickles, lettuce, tomato, onion, a little zesty italian dressing, add some Publix Original Thins potato chips and roll it up! It is so good. You have to use the vine ripe tomatoes.
My favorite lunch is the “unwich”, I know Jimmy Johns coined it first but Jenny Jen’s version is better (smile), use your favorite lettuce (Bibb, Romaine, even Iceberg) Romaine for me please, tomato, pickles, light mayo and or mustard (if youre feeling “spicy” add a little white or red onion (mmmm mmm good) and you’re done. Quick, easy and filling! You can add veggie chips or broccoli crowns or even carrots. This Loa Cal lunch will have you in your skinny jeans in no time.

My go to sandwich is a fried chicken breast with pickles, tomato, thinly sliced onion and pickles on a sesame seed bun.

My still ALL TIME FAV sandwich is the one from childhood that still gets me going today. I take 2 types of cheeses, yellow or white American, with Swiss, Cheddar, Gouda, Provolone, ANYTHING as long as it’s 2 type of cheeses. (You can always make it 3 IF you want).
I must have Publix fresh made seeded rye bread, sliced thick! I slather a bit of Boars Head Horsey Sause on one side of the bread. Cover with the cheeses, smear some EVOO on 1 side of the bread and then rub an opened garlic clove over the OO. Put the sandwich on heated fry pan and let it BROWN well. While it’s browning, I add the EVOO & garlic rub on the other side of the bread.
While this is cooking, I’ve made a pot of Campbells Tomato soup, with a can of milk, till slightly bubbly!
I’m now getting out the Claussen sliced pickles for a side.
I get the Oysterettes for the soup bowl and wait for the sandwich to be ready. When done, it’s just like when I was a kid, I still have to have it cut in triangles, with the crust on of course now!
Takes me back to my youth, when my Mom was still around and would make these great sandwiches for me! GREAT MEMORIES. My daughters loved this too as children.

My kids love home made pizzas. Use publix pizza dough and a variety of toppings. Everyone is happy cause they can make their own how they like it…
My go to.sandwich for my husband is veggie omelet on sandwich thin bread with Dijon mustard, cheddar cheese and salsa.
I make an almond butter and fluff sandwich with potato chips and pretzels crushed up for crunch!

The best sandwich I ever created was when I was about 12. Whole wheat bread, miracle whip, kraft sliced cheese, vlassic bread and butter chips, and oscar mayer bologna. I still eat it this very day…..it hits the spot.

We are big brie fans in this house! I make a Grilled brie, apple and ham or turkey sandwich. Goes amazing with either lunch meat.

I am super boring but 90% of the time it’s Hillshire Mesquite Turkey (which my closest Publix doesn’t carry) Miracle Chip and Chipolte Gouda cheese
I love anything that has bacon on it and turkey is my favorite sandwich meat. Not too creative here but we all love Turkey BLTs. Yum…yum.
I love a ham and swiss on rye – add some spicy mustard and some sprouts and butter lettuce to bulk it up. Side of baked chips and a pickle. YUM!

Grilled cheese AND soup
For my son there is one lunch that he really enjoys and loves when I make it. We call them Turkey Sandwich Pinwheels. I take a tortilla shell, spread on a thin layer of mayo and layer with some slices of swiss cheese and turkey meat. Sometimes we even do ham or other meats. Afterwards, I roll them up and then slice them up into spiral chunks. They are a fun food to look at and he enjoys the taste too. 🙂
I’m quite happy with canned chicken breast mixed with mayo, salt, cayenne pepper, garlic, a little spicy “chow chow” (southern relish), sometimes shredded cheddar and wrapped in a romaine lettuce leaf….been off bread for awhile and miss my sandwiches! But this one gets me by for lunch.

I love sandwiches!! My favorite is to grab a hearty wheat bread with lots of whole grains and nuts, slightly toast it, and add Hillshire Farms roast turkey, smoked applewood bacon, lettuce, tomato, and sprouts with a pesto mayonnaise…so delicious!
Picked up some ham this morning to make home-made chicken cordon bleu for dinner! Sooo much better than that frozen box stuff!
Chicken breasts (thin) rolled up with ham and your choice of cheese inside and then stick with toothpick to keep from unrolling.
Roll in flour, then roll in beaten egg and then final roll in seasoned Panko bread crumbs (much crispier than regular bread crumbs)
Put on baking sheet and bake for 30-35 minutes on 350.

Grilled Pimento Cheese. Yummy.
Sometimes a good breakfast sandwich for lunch is just as perfect. Two pieces toast, with grilled cheese, slice of ham and an over medium fried egg in between. My kids and family love a good breakfast sandwich for lunch or dinner.
I like to make a salad with a variety of vegetables (red cabbage, greens, carrots, peppers….etc) then cut up some deli chicken or turkey add some chick peas maybe a little cheddar. Maybe a few triscuits on the side……Delicious!!

I use
2 slices of 100%whole wheat bread
4 slices Cajun or spicy Turkey
1 slice pepper jack cheese
handful of spinach
1 Tablespoon of butter
1 cup of tomato soup
Make sandwich like a grilled cheese. I met the butter and cook the spinach down. Then, put bread in pan and assemble the sand which ( put on cheese, turkey, spinach ). Once that side is toasted flip the sand which and let the other side brown and the cheese melt, cove pan if you need to. Heat up tomato soup. Eat by dipping sand which in soup yummmmmmmmm.
I love to make bento boxed lunches. So I will make my husband and myself colorful lunches such as 2-4 ham-cheese spirals (flat tortilla, ham, Swiss cheese and crème cheese), a side of cherry tomatoes and a some slices of orange.

I have two young children and am also a teacher, so I have very little time to myself. Sandwiches are my thing for a quick lunch and I absolutely love fried pickles. My favorite sandwich is a lightly toasted bun filled with shredded rotisserie chicken, coleslaw, and topped with as many pickles as you like. It is really dee-licious! Of course, if you don’t fry pickles, just top with thinly sliced dills.

Today, I made the most delish egg cups. They were for breakfast but I made extra and they were packed in the lunch boxes. I put cooked sausage, green onions and broccoli into extra large muffin cups. Then, I made an egg mixture of eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic and milk, and poured the mixture into the cups. Baked at 375 for about 20 minutes. The were so good and very full of protein.
My favorite lunch is :
Publix Sweet Ham
1 slice Publix Munster cheese
sliced onions
1 slice Publix Provolone cheese
mayonnaise
light mustard

One of our family favorite lunches is chicken salad on croissants. I cook some chicken breast, then shred it and add some mayonnaise along with a chopped apple.
On the weekends I like to make a breakfast quesadillas for lunch. The mornings are always rushed and chaotic and the kids don’t have the patience to wait for a cooked breakfast. So instead, we start cooking off bacon and sausage and scrambled eggs around 11:00 and then we build our own quesadillas. So GOOD!!!!!
Hot and Zippy sandwiches are the best !
1/2 cup soft butter
3 Tbs instant minced onion
1 Tbs poppy seed
1Tbs lemon juice
Dash cayenne pepper or to taste
Mix ingredients together and spread on both sides of French bread split lengthwise. Fill bread with Swiss cheese ham and salami. Wrap in foil heat for about 20 min and serve hot.
I have also left the butter out and just made individual sandwiches still tastes fantastic!
My favorite lunch is a sandwich with lunch meat, tomato and avocado.
I like soups for lunch, chili is my favorite.

Avocado Toast! So good and so easy.
Toast the bread on a skillet with some olive oil or butter. Rub garlic on toasted bread. Put avocado on top. Add salt and red pepper flakes!

A family recipe that I get hungry for is a simple sandwich of home-brined cucumbers (salty and crisp) on buttered bread with sliced cheese. Never heard of others eating a cuke and cheese sammie, but my grandmother made them now and then and fed them to both me and my mother when we were young.
Not the most creative, but my favorite sandwich is roast beef with mayo and white american cheese. We don’t do sandwiches much because we try to stay away from bread unless I have time to make some. We will do rolled up lunch meat with fruits and or/veggies and maybe crackers.

My oldest loves to eat peanut butter and cheese sandwiches or peanut butter, strawberry jelly and cheese sandwiches for lunch with a go-gurt and carrots dipped in ketchup. He’s been doing this since he was little and has now posted it down to his little brother. Sounds so gross but they love it and would probably eat for it breakfast, lunch and dinner if they could.
We love toasted ham and cheese sandwich!
Since I have lost a lot of weight I strive to maintain, so my go to lunch sandwich is:
Sandwich thin spread with mustard
Low sodium Turkey on one side topped with Dill ovals
Swiss chees on other half
Bake in toaster oven until cheese is melted
A handful of baby spinach or mixed salad greens.
I should have said I toasted open-faced and added salad greens to sandwich.

Love a good muffalatta! We also like a variety plate: cheeses, fruits, vegetables, crackers, hummus, spreads etc. Tasty and always something new to try.
My kids love the lunchables so I just ciut up ham and cheese with crackers in a container . Instead of buying them all the time .
I make mexican chicken Soup. I put in whatever vegetables I have on hand (leftovers too), chicken, broth, a jar of salsa and let it simmer. Sometimes I top with some avocado. It never tastes the same, but it always tastes good
I take whatever leftovers I have in the frig, add some cheese and I put into a wrap. I put the wrap into the George Foreman grill and it is always awesome.
My family loves turkey,lettuce, tomatoes, and onions with a spicy Indonesian ( or Thai) peanut sauce in a wrap! Some like it with cheese also. Hot or cold both are delicious!
I like to make hot subs and load it up with veggies and Italian dressing. Yum.
I like anything “club.” Adding bacon, lettuce and tomato makes any sandwich special!

I like to use Hillshire Farm Deli Select Club Sandwich Variety Pack and use several different kinds of meat on my sandwich. I spread mayo on whole wheat bread, and layer the Hillshire Farm meat and Colby Jack cheese on top. I add thinly sliced tomato, red onion, cucumber, and avocado to complete my sandwich. I serve the sandwich with raw veggies like cherry tomatoes, celery sticks, baby carrots, and Vlasic Farmer’s Bread and Butter Pickles.
I start with some good bread, spread it with berry sauce, add some good cheese on top and toast it. Then add a choice of meats and it is Perfect!

On a cold day like this nothing beats bean soup made from a ham bone. We still use an old recipe from the Honey Baked Ham store and use Hurst’s soup beans. No need to change what works.

2 slices Rye Bread, spread both slices with thin layer of mayonnaise…. Then layer over the mayonnaise side, 2 slices of Deli Turkey Breast, 2 Tomato slices, 1 slice Provolone Cheese …cover with 2nd slice of bread, mayonnaise side down inside. ….Lightly butter outside of sandwich and grill in frypan about 5 minutes each side on med low heat or until cheese melts and bread is toasted….We Enjoy This.

My family favorite grilled ham and cheese with a little mustard on sour dough bread!
Our favorite is when we have left over steak from the night before. I toast some bread, sauté up some onions and the left over steak cut into strips in some butter on the stove. Right when its about done I throw a couple of slices of American Cheese on top and let it melt over the steak and onions. Then I scoop it up and put it on the toasted bread with some ketchup and mayo. It is out of this world!

My son is a tough eater. I think food is boring to him! So, I try to make it interesting. He loves Ham and Cheese, so I will cut out 2 triangles and a large semi circle from 6 slices of honey wheat bread. I put a slice of Ham and a slice of cheese inside each triangle and semi circle….cut small slices of celery to create the look of the sail at the top (top 2 triangles) and a piece down the middle connecting it to bottom semi circle. I use blue berries or raisins to decorate the “boat”. I use mayo to make some waves under the boat (using your finger works the best!) and about 12 goldfish “swimming” underneath!! You can use all kinds of other things if you want to! He loves it and it keeps him interested in food!

I like to make a sub sandwich using various meats and cheeses (depending on what I have on hand), with mayo, lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, and pickles. It isn’t creative but it tastes great.
I also like to get chick peas and put them in the food processor and then I add mayo and salt and pepper. It actually tastes somewhat close to tuna (which we don’t eat). Best if it sits in fridge overnight and then make a sandwich with lettuce and tomato.

I work six days a week and up to 16 hour long long days with my commute time. So, I eat lots of sandwiches sometimes breakfast, lunch and dinner.
One favorite is kielbasa with sauerkraut, onions and mustard on rye. I don’t know if it unusual but it is good. Egg sandwich is always good.
I try going meatless several times a week. And will have grilled pimento cheese, fried black bean with salsa and avacodo and ground chick pea burger with a roulade sauce. Maybe those are unusual and will give you ideas.
The rest of my lunch is typical fair an not unusual.

Hawaiian bread with ham n turkey with mayo and some yum yum sauce for kicks.
My favorites are usually created by digging for leftovers in the frig. Then I combine, grill, bake, or warm up.
Usually a croissant, bun, or even the last slices of some stray bread, a mixture of spreads, homemade sweet pickle slices and some kind of cheese.
This weeks favorite is a croissant with Asiago cheese, a bit of Miracle whip and a round slice of pork loin and a pickle slice. YUM
Our girls love just simple peanut butter and honey sandwiches that Are Sliced in two triangles.
Add a side of in season fruit and a cheese stick . Juice box or water thermos for drinking and don’t forget a little note to encourage them!

My most creative/weird sandwich that is in my household is peanut butter and mayonnaise. It sounds disgusting, but it somehow works.
Our kids like veggie wraps or sandwiches for lunch. Our son does not like meat so we use the mission spinach wraps and fill with black beans, what ever lettuce is on sale at publix, extra pickles, cucumbers, peppers and Annie’s Goddess dressing.
It is a hit with him and me!

Ham and provolone with mayo mustard lettuce and tomato on toasted white bread
We make our own bread from freshly ground red wheat. Our youngest son enjoys when I pack sanwiches made with Cuban pulled pork, yellow rice, tomato, and spinach. Add a banana Greek yogurt and apple slices for a well-rounded school lunch.
My favorite sandwich is a ham ,turkey, and provolone heated sandwich with sauté onions, tomato and lettuce.

Today’s lunch wasn’t bad. Italian sausage with spicy mustard and jalapenos. FYI, I just tried this Hillshire deal and got burned. It wasn’t on sale 2/$8. I checked an Atlanta store ad online and didn’t see it on sale there, either.

I love sandwiches and would eat them for every meal if I could. My favorite is old-fashioned ham and cheese on sourdough with a dill pickle. Not creative but really good.
My favorite lunch would be a Publix Italian sub. It’s been a while since I’ve had one so might be time to get one for lunch.
I absolutely love chimichurri sandwiches on a baguette… seem’s weird but goes so well together!
I make a healthy version of chicken salad. I get the whole roasted chickens from Publix and pull them apart. Depending on how much your making at once and to taste, add greek yogurt (instead of mayo), season salt, fine diced: celery, dried cranberries, walnuts (optional), and then stir in with a pinch of cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper and a hand full of sunflower seeds. You can eat this as a sandwhich, wrap or my personal favorite as I don’t like bread is in butter bib lettuce.

My boys love roll ups. I use a flour tortilla spread a little cream cheese on it then add ham or turkey. Then roll it up and put it in the refrigerator. When it is cold we take it out and cut it in slices. Sometimes we mix it up by using bacon too! They also like when we use Hawaiian rolls to make small sandwiches.

Grilled Cheese, Egg Whites and Kale Breakfast Sandwich:
Butter one side of 2 slices of whole wheat bread, on one slice of the wheat bread with butter side facing down, top with 2 slices of medium cheddar, a small handful of kale, a few slices of tomato, in a small greased skillet cook 1/4 cup of egg whites and place on top of tomato, add a few slices of provolone cheese, season to taste and top with other slice of buttered wheat bread, brown both sides of the sandwich quite well by flipping a few times til cheeses start to melt, when done add a single slice of medium cheddar on top, cover til cheese melts on top!

My children will not eat “boring” sandwiches. Somehow putting as many pickles as possible on any sandwich (including pp&j) makes them sooooo not boring.
Love creating something interesting from whatever leftovers I find in the fridge.
We love to do chicken Caesar wraps. Also, a grilled chicken salad sandwich with a slice of Havarti is a favorite.

Delicious Salad
Mixture of spinach, romaine and regular head lettuce. Cut up hard boiled egg, different types of nuts, apples, oranges, cucumber and flax seed. Add left over chicken sliced, tuna, beef, or any meat. Any salad dressing to your liking. Toss together and enjoy.
Or make it into a sandwich and put between slices of bread or in a wrap.

Crispy sammies are a big hit in my house. Make the sandwich however you like then put butter on the outside of the bread and cook in a pan like you’d cook a grilled cheese. It melt any cheese, warms it all up and gives it a delicious crisp. Yum!
I am such a lazy cook. One of my very favorite lunches is a bag of salad kit (ceasar or Asian, whatever is on sale) and a couple of chicken tenders from the deli cut up over the salad. Dressing and everything in the bag plus some chicken and you have a salad just as good as any you’ll get in a restaurant.
My favorite sandwich receipt is made by my hubby he mix mayo and ketchup with a little garlic and he place this mix on the bread then put the tukey ham and cheese , salad and onions, then he toasted and the result is so yummyyy delicious
Love making a muffuletta large round sandwich. I use pizza dough to make the bread then bake it. Prepare the Olive Salad.
Cut bread in half crosswise (lengthwise) and scoop out about half of the soft dough from top and bottom pieces (this is to provide more room for the sandwich ingredients). Brush the inside bottom of loaf with olive oil or juice from the Olive Salad marinade.
Layer salami, Italian ham and Provolone cheese on the bottom piece.
Top with as much Olive Salad as will fit without spilling out. Add top of loaf and press down slightly.

My favorite sandwich is wheat bread with a little mustard, smoked ham sandwich meat, sharp cheddar cheese, sliced cucumbers for crunch and sliced avocados . You heat it in the microwave for 30 seconds or in the panini machine. YUMMMYYY!!!!
Ham and cheese is classic for us…heated in winter, but always toasted bread.

My children love ham, swiss cheese, and apple slice sandwiches with mayonnaise. My 10 year old started eating them years ago and his sisters now love them, too.
I love whole wheat bread turkey and mozzarella, hummus, cucumber, tomatoes, lettuce and red onion.
I like to make bento boxes, basically my own version of a lunch able with different cheeses meats and fruit.
I use tortilla wraps and roll it up the Boars Head Chipotle Chicken, Avocadoes, salsa, and cheese! Yummy!
My favorite sandwich is a Cuban Sandwich. Works well after the holidays with leftover pork roast (if you have any). Slice up the meat, add garlic, ham, pickles, olive oil, mustard, cheese on a cuban roll and you have a lunch that lasts all day.
I like to make a fish soup w/ cranberries and carrots…yeah no meat is my favorite lunch, hope this still counts as an entry.

I make my great big sandwich starting out with a large loaf of Fresh French Bread then load it up with Miracle Whip then add my favorite meats, Deli Saved Smoked Ham, Salami, Roast Beef, Smoked Turkey, Beef Bologna, American Cheese, Provalone Cheese, Shredded Lettuce, Tomatoes, Purple Onion and I finish it off with homemade Oil and Vinegar, Black Pepper and some Italian Seaoning. Yummo
In my house, especially for my kids, a good old fashioned fried bologna and cheese sandwich with a little mayo never fails! Easy to make and with a good turkey bologna not too bad health wise either!

Our family loves tuna melts. Simply make tuna, put it on bread, top with any desired cheese sprinkled with some dill weed. Then place in the oven until the cheese is melted. Yum!

Ham and turkey on pumpernickel with a couple of thin slices of swiss cheese. Roll the ham an turkey together making four rolls, top with swiss. We like honey mustard and a sliced compari tomato. Awesome

Really love to make homemade corn tortillas, with simple, fresh ingredients like homemade salsa and shredded chicken breast. If they don’t eat them all, I make them into tortilla chips for snacks or to pack in their lunches 🙂
My family loves ham and provolone with dijon mustard on Multi Grain bread. Brush one side of each slice of bread with butter, add dijon mustard, provolone, and Honey Roasted or Baked Ham. Sear each side of the bread for approximately 2 minutes till browned. Add lettuce and tomato. The additions are based on the child. This sandwich pairs well with apple slices, broccoli or carrots with ranch or chips. Tasty, hearty and healthy.

I like to make grilled pizza sandwiches! Smear a tad bit of pesto, add a dash of Italian seasoning, a slice of tomato, some shredded mozzarella, and some whole grain goodness, and grill it up. It’s fabulous, healthy, and the WHOLE family eats it, even my picky eater!
Lentil loaf! It’s a vegan meatloaf with lentils, oats, veggies& flax eggs. It also freezes really well if i have leftovers 🙂

My sister in Alaska texted me a couple of days ago with a sandwich must try. I’m thinking about trying them for supper! Grilled peanut butter s’more sandwich! She’s in a bush village up there and thought they sounded delish. Here’s the goodness, butter your whole grain bread (hers was home baked, no real stores there!), mix marshmallows, chocolate chips, and peanut butter together. Then slab it on the bread and grill it. Boy howdy! Sounds good to me!

I love a good open faced sandwich. I put a slice of bread on a cookie sheet, load it with roast beef, then a slice of tomato, and last a slice of American cheese. I put it under the broiler until the cheese melts. Then, I out another piece of bread on top. The bread on top is soft while the bread on the bottom is toasted. Adds tons of texture. Sometimes I had mayo, but not always. LOVE this!!

I love to make different sub sandwiches. My favorite is assorted with turkey, ham, roast beef and salami with different kinds of cheeses, lettuce and tomato. I LOVE “I HEART PUBLIX” I am so glad that I found you.
My favorite Publix sandwich is Boar’s Head Oven Gold turkey, shaved, with Boar’s Head Black Wax Cheddar, and mustard on a deli Chicago roll. Then I pop it into the microwave for 30 seconds. Yummy! I also love to make a grilled ham and cheese with Publix Tavern ham and white bread from the bakery.
Add fresh Avocado to just about any sandwich gives it extra flavor. If the avocado is very ripe, but not bad, mash it and use it instead of Mayo or butter. It is a healthier substitute, especially the Florida Avocados.

Creative and sort of different.
My 10 year old favorite is peanut butter. He also LOVES Cheezit crackers. But doesn’t like jelly/jam.
One day he requested a PBCI sandwich – usually he just says he would like a PB sandwich.
A PBCI sandwich is a sandwich with peanut butter on both pieces of bread. On one of the slices of bread I line up rows of 4 Cheezits each and a column of 4 Cheezits each (so a total of 16 individual cheezits on one side. Put the other side of the bread on the sandwich so its a PBCI sandwich.
Then here is the next thing – on the outside of the sandwich on the top piece of bread, put a toothpick with 1 cheezit on it to make it fancy and hold it together. Everytime he requests this sandwich, we just add another cheezit it to the toothpick. The other day when he wanted a PBCI I had to put 12 cheezits on the outside (on a total of 3 toothpicks). He says that way he knows how many he’s eaten. Its his all in one sandwich that includes his snack too.
We Love Publix . It makes my life simple and my son loves all the goodies I can get for him. At a cost that I can afford. Thank you for helping us.
You can’t beat an old school sub sandwich. Make it the day before and keep it in the fridge so the oil and vinegar soaks through the crust bread and makes it melt in your mouth….
Sometimes the grandchildren are tried of regular sandwiches…so I fill a soft tortilla with layers of turkey,ham, and provolone cheese after a base of flavored mayo or spicy mustard. Add a leafy piece of lettuce or a bit of arugala or spinach (maybe even a kale leaf!) and roll them up. The kids love them…even the 8 year old!
I been making tzatziki and wrapping it up in a tortilla with greens and quinoa or chickpeas. I cook the quinoa, beans or peas and make my sauce on the weekend and then each night I roll one up with whatever produce I have. It’s so tasty!!!

I make whatever sandwich my almost 2 year old will eat and then use cookie cutters to cut them into shapes. ( I eat the scraps and give the shapes to my LO)

I use my “foreman” grill to make ham/turkey, pepper jack/Colby with/without tomatoes panni’s at home. They go wonderfully with tomato soup for my winter lunches and dinners. Quick easy and the children can create their own. They also travel very well for camping and while on road trips! I ALWAYS by extra Hillshire farm lunch meat, sale or not. My son(22) sits with the turkey, a bottle of mustard and eats it straight from the package. About 3 times a week, so we go through ALOT!!!

On these chilly days I like to make soup with a grilled cheese sandwich and a side of sliced apples or pears. It’s even a fun lunch for my 3 year old. He’s picky but loves this combo!

My husband made us ham and swiss rolled into chicken breast, served on toasted flat bread pizza crust with tomato slice, and lettuce the other night I love his Chicken Cordon Bleu, but this sandwich was sooo good! It just needed Thousand Island dressing we didn’t have. He also makes fabulous philly steak and cheese on homemade rolls using publix pizza dough.
My husband’s favorite lunch is a pasta salad I make every other Saturday to share with a coworker. I use lunch meat (hillshire salamis) diced since he says he likes to get a little bit of everything with each bite.

I make honey peanut butter flatbread roll-ups. I use the flatbread that I get for free (Thank you IheartPublix!), and the cheap peanut butter (Thanks even more IHeartPublix!). I love the wheat flat bread with the crunchy honey roast peanut butter. I throw in some 10 cent yogurt (also thanks to IHeartPublix) and a bottle of water. Voila!! Lunch for next to nothing !!! I don’t know how creative that is, but is sure is good (and cheap)
On occasion we’ll get a Publix pizza dough and try to make a homemade pizza, sauce and all.
We make a flatbread pizza. My girls can pick their cheeses and toppings. I have one who loves all the olives . We toast them in the oven and then pick a sauce for dipping.
Right now I’m stuck on Boar’s head pickle and pepper loaf on Publix Italian bread. Yummy!

I love a good Panini but one of my household favorites is a Reuben.
It’ the only time my son or husband will eat sauerkraut.
It’s pretty much your traditional Reuben with Rye bread, Corned beef, sauerkraut and Thousand Island dressing. I use pepper jack cheese instead of Swiss and I butter up and grill each sandwich like a grilled cheese with puts it over the top!
Also love roast beef, any cheese, may & jalapeños on hamburger roll.

I take a tortilla and I spread cream cheese on it then I place a few slices of turkey, or ham or chicken and a few slices of what ever cheese I have either swiss, American, mozzarella or cheddar and I roll it up. IT changes each week depending on which is on sale so its never the same old taste. PLUS, its a delicious snack the kids can eat with out making a mess of crumbs all over their room

I love to use wheat bread (thinking I’m eating healthy) with a smear of mayo, some mustard, kosher dill strips, turkey breast (any variety) lettuce, and tomato. Not that original, but oh so good!
I love to take Publix white bread, spread mayo on both sides, place lettuce on both sides, place sliced tomatoes on one side, place two different sliced cheeses on top of the tomatoes. On the other side, place three different sandwich meats (e.g. cotto salami, ham, and turkey) on top of lettuce, place sandwich stacker pickles on top of the sandwich meats. Join both sides. Cut diagonally. Use toothpicks to hold layers together. Pair with a side of Southern Style Potato Salad with egg. Sweet Tea. If still hungry, finish with a slice of Publix New York Style cheesecake for dessert.
I chop up some olives (green, black, and kalamata) as fine as I can by hand and use that as a spread. Then I pile on some thinly sliced deli meats and cheeses and add mustard. I’ll use whatever bread I have available, but I’m partial to breads with seeds.

I make a sandwich with turkey ( roasted or oven baked ) , load up the veggies, then toast the bread. The special sauce I make is regular creamy peanut better thinned out with apple juice. It brings out the flavor in the turkey and the veggies. It is so much better than a regular turkey sandwich and worth the time.

Try a sandwich with mayo on one side, peanut butter on the other, filled with raisins and a slice of cheese (cheddar or gouda). 🙂

We all know many kids like the crust to be cut off of their bread, right? Well sometimes I make sandwich bread pinwheels. Bread with the crust off and flattened, a layer of room tempurature Philadelphia or Publix cream cheese mixed with some Chipotle sauce. Spread a think layer. Add a slice of ham or turkey and roll up. Yum!

I make Waffle Cordon Bleu sandwiches. I use Waffles * frozen ones-and on the side that’s toward the middle I drizzle either Maple syrup or honey, then put in ham, Swiss, turkey and another cheese like American or Colby. warm it up and get the cheese melted and its done. It’s a hands or forks sandwich.
Oh, And sometimes the kids like to dip into raspberry jam, or honey. Also a very light dusting of powdered sugar also adds a little sweetness to it. It is very sweet and savory.

One of my favorite sandwiches is a home-made reuben. I use Publix multi-grain bread, then just a touch of spicy mustard, a couple of slices of roast beef/salami/ham, melted provolone or swiss cheese, and a big ole’ helping of sauerkraut. Sometimes I add in a little home-grown fresh watercress or arugula lettuce. It is yummy!

I like to use the large tortillas instead of bread. My favorite is to make a club sandwich with ham, turkey, and bacon; topped with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and red onion. I roll it up like a burrito and it is easy to eat on the go!
My kids love to make homemade lunchables, We order deli meats cut thick, cheese, and add pickles, or olives. They make great lunch ka-bobs. and it makes lunch a little more fun. Its amazing how a little creativity can make lunch with the kids easy, and they eat more. Besides my kids love to visit the deli to try all the different meats and cheeses we order. The staff at our Publix is awesome and always makes sure each kid gets a slice of anything we buy.

This is a recipe that my mother used to make when I was a child. My children, nephews and more also love this recipe. I call it the Spam Dog. You combine a can of spam diced, small onion diced, can of green peas drained and mix with mayo to your liking. Put this filling into 8 hotdog buns. Wrap the them in foil, and bake at 350 for approx 20 to 25 minutes.. let them cool a few minutes ..

First off the sweet ladies at the Publix deli know us well! We’re pretty much on a first name basis now… my family really appreciates a good sandwich with all the fixins! Stop by the deli ask them to cut you up some chipotle gouda chesse and smoked turkey. Also get Publix deli artichoke and spinach dip. Get loaf of fresh baked cheddar jalapeño bread from the Publix bakery. Warm up the smoked turkey and toast the bread on a skillet. Spread the artichoke spinach dip on both pieces of bread and fill the sandwich with the hot smoked turkey. Put a couple (or more!) slices of chipotle gouda cheese on top and close your sandwich. Put the sandwich back in the skillet for a minute until the sandwich gets all melty and gooey!!!! You will be suprised at how delicious the combination is! Great with a bowl of your favorite soup! Hot delious comfort food! Also makes wonderful quesidillas if you use tortillas! Great with tomato and avocado too. You should try it! Om nom nom!!!!

The best lunch that I’ve made was a roast beef and ham hoagie. I used Pepperidge Farms whole wheat hoagie bread, black peppercorn roast beef deli meat, and smoked ham. I dressed the sandwich with Cabot hot habanero cheese (I heart spicy everything), baby spinach leaves, tomato, red onion (some consider it purple), fresh, homegrown jalapeño peppers, Duke’s mayo, and a sprinkle of freshly ground black peppercorn (thanks to those FREE McCormick grinders). Talk about DELICIOUS!!!!! Pair it with Lay’s plain chips and Milo’s sweet tea and you’ll definitely satisfy your appetite (at least I did). 🙂

Our Game Day Sliders. We use party rye bread and make our mini favorites. Grilled Ham and Swiss; Grilled Turkey, provolone with cranberry relish; grilled roast beef with colby cheese and steak sauce. These are a big hit with our friends.

My family calls it the BIG SANDWICH. We take a loaf of Italian bread, cut it open, spread with garlic butter, place ham, turkey,salami on the bread, then add provolone cheese. Wrap in foil and bake at 350 until heated and cheese melts. Take it out of oven and cut into portions. We like to dip in Honey Mustard, or pepper sauce. Enjoy!

The fave lunch that we all love is lettuce wraps. I take either butter head lettuce, or romaine ( both organic) and I drizzle coconut oil ( Publix now carrys the most awesome virgin cold pressed, unrefined Coconut Oil and at a reasonable price!!) on each leaf. Then I add about 1 TB of hummus, thinly spread. next thinly shaved cucumber long slices, then some paper thin red onion, sprinkle a little Mrs. Dash spices at this point, then thin shaved provolone or swiss cheese and last but not least, shaved home baked thin shaved turkey breast. If on butter lettuce, EVO on everything and then roll up. if on romaine, eat with one hand and enjoy. it’s still a sandwich as you can toast your fave bread and add some butter or coconut oil on the bread after toasting and eat as an accompaniment to the roll up. If you have a good bread knife you can take an organic focacia and slice it through. and then layer your wraps on the bread and slice through… Thoroughly yummy!

I like to eat wraps for lunch. Put oil in wide pan and fry a large tortilla. Remove tortilla from pan and add dollops of sour cream down the center. Then add a layer of crumbled Doritos, original flavor. Then add shredded lettuce. Top with sardines and sprinkle with raw apple cider vinegar and lime juice. Add Tabasco sauce to taste. Now roll up the wrap! Then make a dip from pimento-stuffed olives and Kraft French dressing. For extra flair melt a couple of swiss cheese deli slices in the frying pan or just melt them in hot water and add to the dipping sauce. This goes really well with coleslaw and sauerkraut! An alternate sauce can be made with cocoa powder, tomato paste, lemon juice, melted butter, clove and cinnamon powder, and fresh basil. It sounds complicated but it so fast and easy and the cleanup is a snap!
Pita pocket, shredded carrots, thin sliced cucumbers and tomato, Munster cheese. Stuff in pocket, then microwave just until cheese melts

I love a good chicken salad sandwich! I make mine with freshly oven roasted boneless skinless chicken breast, seasoned well with salt and pepper and a sprinkle of dried thyme. Then, I cut into cubes. I use seedless green grapes, cut in half, Hellman’s mayo, salt and pepper, lemon juice, dried thyme, celery seed dried cranberries and chopped walnuts, mix all together with the chicken and served on an onion roll. YUMMO!!

Boar’s Head ham, Everroast chicken, a slice of baby swiss and a slice of tomato on a toasted bagel. Put mayo on both sides of the bagel. Layer on the ham and then put a dollop of KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce on top of the ham. Add the Everroast chicken then the slice of tomato and finally the baby swiss.

When I have leftover curry chicken, the gravy is too yummy to get rid of. I make a simple salad of baby spinach and cherry tomatoes, then sizzle the warm gravy on top.

I love eggs, so sandwich meat of choice, cooked eggs (I like two), avocado (or guac if ur lazy), tomato, and cheese (I prefer pepper jack but any sliced cheese will do) and some Trader Joe’s Spicy Mayo or Sriracha for added flavor. Viola! Enjoy!

My mom would make the best home ground ham salad sandwiches on whole wheat bread and lettuce and tomato!!
Most creative lunch would be a turkey blt with a side salad topped with avocado egg salad using 2 eggs, a half of hass avocado and a table spoon of mayo
Hillshire roast beef, thin slices of cheddar, sprinkled with blue cheese on wheat bread. Put two slices of thinly sliced cheddar on each piece of bread. Roll four slices of roast beef to fit on top of cheese on slice of bread. Sprinkle lightly with blue cheese. Top with other slice of bread/cheese. Lightly butter outside of bread and grill until cheese is melted. Serve with a good dill pickle and baked chips.

I love making “gourmet” grilled cheese sandwiches. I add whatever cheese I’m in the mood for, often brie, and then, tasty toppings like capers, cranberries, even nuts and seeds. After it comes out of the pan, I add the classic lettuce and mayo. I have to make the standard cheddar only sandwich for my daughter. You know kids!

I like the ham on a large tortillia. I add shredded lettece, thin sliced cucumber, radishens and provolone cheese. I dress it with ranch dressing. Love this wrap.

After sautéing an apple, I place it on Eureka’s SOO Wheat bread along with Hillshire Farms smoked sausage and top it with dijon mustard! It’s Octoberfest all over again!
I love to make grilled cheese using white bread, ham, American cheese, Peru sweet onion, spicy mayo and a dab of honey. Perfect meat to cheese and sweet to spicy ratio!

Cream cheese, honey, turkey & apple slices on a whole wheat tortilla, yum!
Corned beef, cheese and fried egg grilled on sour dough bread. Place thin sliced corned beef on one side of bread that has been spread lightly with honey mustard. Top with sliced sharp cheddar cheese and a fried egg. LIghtly butter outside of both slices of bread and grill until cheese melts.
