It’s hard to believe but summer break will be ending soon. My boys only have a few more weeks until they are back in school. They may pretend like they are sad but I think really they are ready to get back into a routine. I know for fact that they miss their friends.
The beginning of school is usually a bit chaotic. We are all trying to adjust to the new routine. There’s a lot to do each day so I try to look for ways to simplify. Even my meals need to be a little bit easier. The school year means extracurricular activities. homework and less time for dinner preparation! That’s when the one-pot wonders come in handy! I have some recipes that I can pull out in a pinch and then there are times when I look to my freezer for a quick meal that my family will love. I am already stocking my freezer with options to help me get through those first few weeks…they are always the most insane.
My newest addition…Birds Eye Voila!
Did you know that Birds Eye now offers their Voila Skillet Meals in a family size? I picked up a few bags not too long ago with the BOGO sale. I loved the fact that I had dinner on the table in about 15 minutes. I just added a simple side salad for a dinner that my guys devoured.
Publix carries several different varieties so you’ll have no trouble finding something your family will love. I made the Garlic Chicken and the the next time I need a meal in a pinch, they’ll be having the Cheesy Chicken. Pretty much anything with pasta and chicken is sure to be a hit with my crew!
Don’t forget to grab a couple of bags next time you are shopping at Publix. When you need a quick and easy meal you’ll be very happy to find the Voila ready and waiting in your freezer.
