Washing clothes is probably not at the top of most of our “favorite things” list. It’s one of those things that we all have to do at least weekly. Here at my house, I typically do laundry at least 3 times per week just to keep up. There’s the bed linens, the towels and of course the clothes for the four of us.
When I was younger, I never put a lot of thought into washing clothes. I would take large piles of laundry and just shove as much in my washer in an attempt to deal with as few loads as possible. Of course I would pull out anything red to avoid pink socks. Other that that, it all went in together. Do you know what I ended up with? Faded clothing, clothes that were stretched and often shrunk. I really just assumed that was the consequence of washing so I dealt with it. To extend the life of my favorite clothes I would try to wear them several times between washes.
It wasn’t until I met my husband that I learned that I was the one causing my problems. He would sort the laundry and use different detergents based on the clothing. At first I thought he was insane. When I saw the change in my clothing, I soon changed my tune!
It’s amazing what happens when you use the right water temperature and the right detergent. I will admit that I buy several different types of detergents for the various types of fabrics I wash. For mine and my husband’s better clothing, I prefer Woolite.
Unlike some detergents, Woolite machine wash has a special formula to help protect the clothes you love by not causing fading, shrinking and stretching – so clothes look like new even after 20 washes. That is very important to the frugal gal in me. The right detergent means that my favorite clothes last much longer. In turn, I spend less money buying replacement clothing – brilliant!
We all have those “favorite” clothes. Those pants that fit just right, that sweater that is the perfect color or maybe that blouse that you get compliments on EVERY time you wear it. Those are the clothes that need special care. Woolite cleans and cares for all fabrics by maintaining fabric shape and keeping colors bright.
I always remember my mom using Woolite in the bathroom sink to clean her delicates. Now I use Woolite Everyday because it gives all my clothes the right balance of cleaning and care. It doesn’t contain harsh ingredients, so it won’t cause fading, shrinking and stretching. Plus, it formulated for my HE machine so I don’t have to spend time soaking and hand washing in the sink. My washing machine does the work and my clothes stay nice!
To keep that little black dress from fading, there is Woolite Darks. It has a special formula that cleans and helps maintain the original color intensity of your dark clothes. It won’t cause fading, shrinking or stretching, so dark colors stay vivid and clothes look like new for longer.
I know you guys are always looking for ways to save. Sometimes the best way to save money is as simple as changing how you do things. Using the right detergent to clean your clothes can make all the difference. Using Woolite detergent to clean and care for all your clothes is the simplest way to keep them looking like new, for longer. That means you spend less replacing worn out clothing. You can reduce your clothing budget by replacing your detergent…how simple is that?

Ditto! Well said! Bravo! 😉
I just wanted to share my experience with Woolite. I have used Woolite for my delicates for about 25 years up until 5 years ago when I started using it for everything. I loved it because my family has very sensitive skin and it did not cause any breakouts. Well then Woolite changed its’ formula and came out with everyday and dark. Our clothes began to hold an odor. I eliminated everything until I finally realized it was the detergent. We now make our own detergent and no longer have the issue of odor.
My DS kept complaining about my ruining his dark clothes…fading everything including his jeans. After a bit of reading, I switched to Woolite Dark and Woolite everyday for his clothes. What a difference! A bit expensive, but given his clothes are not inexpensive (like mine) it saves in the long run. On occasion, I can find a $1/1 insert and will make sure I pick it up with that.
Excellent product!

Would have been nice to have said on the label that
Woolite “Everyday” is NOT suitable for woollens. I used it on a pair of handwash woollen socks in the hand wash cycle of my machine, which has always done a perfect job. But then I discovered that it has damaged these socks. Because the labelling, color of the bottle, etc are the same as before, I never noticed I had a product that was different from the old Woolite. I’m not happy at all, it’s not treating the customer right. Also Woolite dark still fades my dark clothes, although not as much as a regular detergent.
