Laurie over at Passionate Penny Pincher emailed her recipes for this week. It must be the time of the year where everyone is thinking roast. I guess with the craziness of back to school we all need an easy meal that will feed the crew! This week Laurie does one of my favorite things….she cooks once to eat twice. So the roast she makes turns into sandwiches for another night.
She also sent over a cake recipe. I think my littlest would be thrilled to try that banana cake…his day is not complete without a few bananas EVERY day!!
OK, here’s my kind of morning. From the title of this post I thought for a goffy minute that the recipe would have roast AND bananas in the cake. I’m thinking “Who would put meat in a banana cake?”.
Maybe I should have posted this comment in the funny stories post above. Happy Thursday everyone–I am off to get my 1 cent toilet paper this morning.
(And maybe a roast and some bananas…)

I thought the same thing! Here is a great way to make fresh, healthy, simple banana ice cream. Cut bananas into chunks and freeze them. Use 1 banana per serving needed. Leave them in the freezer for about 2 hours or until frozen hard then put them in the food processor or blender. That’s it! You can add other things if you want, like peanut butter! This is an awesome after school treat for the kids.
