Quaker Life Soft Baked Nutrition Bars For Adults Review & Giveaway

I love to try new products.  When the folks at Quaker contacted me about trying a new product I was more than happy to give it a whirl!  I was not sure what to expect…I thought it might be a new flavor of oatmeal or maybe a new cereal.  I have to tell you I was very pleased to find that they had sent me Life Soft Baked Nutrition Bars For Adults in two flavors: Banana Walnut Bread and Cinnamon Roll Raisin Pecan.

The first thing I did was turn over the boxes to read the ingredients list.  I was thrilled to find ingredients such as whole grain rolled oats , soy rice crisp, brown sugar, walnuts, dried bananas, pecans, raisins—REAL INGREDIENTS— not artificial flavorings or corn syrup!  I also noticed that both flavors included 5 grams of protein as well as 20% of the daily value of five B vitamins and 6 grams of protein!  Needless to say I was pretty impressed before I even opened the box. 

Well of course my life is full of distractions so after checking out the box off I ran to deal with one of the many issues that happen in a house with two young boys  Skip to a few hours later, my husband walks by with a mouthful asking me where I got the new snacks and telling me that they are pretty good. I have to admit that I was a bit perturbed as I wanted to be the one to try them first!  Of course unlike my husband I had read on the box a tip to try them warm by popping them in the microwave for a few seconds.  I chose the Banana Walnut Bread Flavor and let me just tell you…it was fabulous!  The bar tasted like a warm slice of banana bread right out of the oven! 

The bar is a perfect size…just enough to satisfy without making you feel stuffed.  We are always on the go here at my house and I have almost finished one box as they have been my breakfast on the go for the past few mornings.  All I have to do is open one side of the package, microwave for a few seconds then toss it in my bag to eat on the road.  My husband has claimed the Cinnamon Roll Raisin Pecan as his flavor of choice but I am sticking with the Banana Walnut Flavor–Yum!!  Next time you are shopping at Publix you should definitely give them a try…I think you will be very pleased!!
