Pickle Slaw Dogs

Ingredients
  

  • 8 hot dogs
  • 8 buns
Slaw
  • 3 cups cabbage - shredded
  • 2 large carrots - shredded
  • 1/4 cup green pepper - thinly sliced
  • 3 green onions - chopped
  • 1 cup Grillo's Pickles - chopped
  • 1 tbsp pimientos
Dressing
  • 1/4 cup Grillo's pickle brine (juice from the container)
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp celery seed

Method
 

  1. Add the slaw ingredients to a large bowl.
  2. To make the dressing, add all ingredients to a bowl and whisk to combine (or place in a sealed jar and shake to combine).
  3. Pour the dressing over the slaw ingredients and toss to combine. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Grill the hot dogs and serve in buns topped with plenty of the prepared Pickle Slaw.
