Jones Sausage Gravy

Ingredients
  

  • 1 12 oz. package Jones Dairy Farm Little Pork Sausage Links
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 4 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Homemade biscuits, for serving

Method
 

  1. Cook the fully cooked Jones Dairy Farm Little Pork Sausage Links in a large skillet according to package directions. Remove the sausage from the pan, slice and set aside.
  2. Melt the butter over medium heat in the same skillet with the excess fat from the sausage. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, forming a smooth paste (roux).
  3. Slowly whisk in the milk until the mixture is smooth and begins to thicken. Continue stirring frequently until the gravy comes to a low simmer and coats the back of a spoon.
  4. Stir the sliced sausage back into the gravy. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  5. Ladle the hot sausage gravy generously over warm, homemade biscuits. Serve and enjoy!
