QUICK PICKLES
- In a jar with a tight fitting lid, add the vinegar, water, sugar, salt and red pepper flakes. Stir until the sugar/salt has dissolved.
- Add the sliced cucumbers and onions, seal and refrigerate until chilled.
BURGERS
- Place the beef, hummus and pepper in a large bowl and gently mix with your hands just until combined. Form into 4 patties.
- Grill the burgers over medium high heat, turning once until cooked to your preferred temperature. Approximately 6 - 8 minutes for medium doneness.
- Spread 2 tablespoons of hummus onto the toasted bun and top with a burger patty. Add the desired amount of pickles and onions and any additional toppings followed by the top bun.
- Serve and enjoy!
