Cheese Stuffed Puff Pastry Bites (Easter Themed)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 sheet puff pastry - defrosted
  • Alouette Spreadable Cheese
  • water with 2 - 3 drops of orange food coloring - if desired
  • fresh dill or fresh parsley - for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 425ยบ F.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to approximately 10"x12".
  3. Using a pizza wheel or pastry cutter, cut the puff pastry into 24 thin strips.
  4. Wind the pastry around metal horns or aluminum foil shaped into a cone, starting at the narrow tip and overlap layers, covering form in a spiral. Place on a sheet pan. Work in batches, keeping the unused pastry refrigerated until ready to use.
  5. If desired, brush the rolled pastry lightly with water colored with 2 - 3 drops of orange food coloring.
  6. Bake the pasty horns for 10 - 11 minutes, until puffed and golden.
  7. Allow the pastries to cool then pipe the "carrot" horns with Alouette Spreadable Cream Cheese.
  8. Add some fresh parsley or dill to the pastry for garnish, if desired.
