Once you have your sausage, you can effortlessly create a delicious Mushroom & Sausage Frittata with just a couple of extra ingredients. This dish is fantastic for any meal—breakfast, brunch, or dinner—and makes feeding your whole family a breeze.

Mushroom & Sausage Frittata

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 20 minutes
Servings: 6
Course: Main Course

Ingredients
  

  • 16 Jones Dairy Farm Turkey or Chicken Sausage links
  • 8 oz Baby Bella mushrooms - sliced
  • 8 eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese - shredded
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F.
  2. In a 10-inch or 12-inch cast iron skillet, heat the sausage according to package directions. Once cooked, remove from skillet and slice into large chunks. Set aside.
  3. Add sliced mushrooms to the same skillet, and cook on medium heat for about 3 - 5 minutes until browned.
  4. Add the sausage back to the skillet.
  5. Whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt and pepper in a large bowl.
  6. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the cooked sausage and mushrooms and then top with the shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake for 15 or 20 minutes until the frittata no longer wobbles in the center.
  8. Remove from the oven and place the frittata on a wire rack. Cool for 10 - 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
