Printable Coupons Including Cure 81, Jennie O & More
March 17, 2013
We have some new printable coupons for meat products. These are always awesome to have on hand! Produce and meat coupons are pretty high on my list – since they are not available too often I love when we get them and it’s even more exciting when we have several to choose from!
A little tip – grab the quarter hams instead of shelling out the moolah for your weekly deli meat. Some of them come pre-sliced and the ones that don’t can easily be sliced up for your lunch each day!
- $1/1 JENNIE-O Turkey Breakfast Sausage Roll
- $1/1 Jennie-O Turkey Bacon 12 oz
- $2/1 HORMEL CURE 81 Boneless Ham
- $0.55/1 HORMEL™ COUNTRY CROCK Side dish

Hillshire Farms Sausage Great On The Grill + Final Publix Gift Card Giveaway
March 12, 2013
Well we got some great weather this past weekend in Atlanta and I was hoping the warm weather was here to stay. It’s a bit chilly today but I have hopes for a great weekend. When the weather is warm I love to fire up the grill. I can usually even get my husband to work the grill so that I only have to focus on preparing the side dishes.
One of our family favorites can be done all at once – kabobs! Grab a package of Hillshire Farm rope sausage, some bell peppers, onion, mushrooms – slice everything up and throw them on a skewer. A few minutes on a hot grill and you have your protein and your sides all done at once. Pair it with a side salad and you have dinner in under 30 minutes from start to finish!

Kabobs are easy, delicious and a fun change of pace. My boys love them because they taste great and they get to play with their food a bit. Grab a couple of packs of Hillshire Farm Sausage and whip up some kabobs or just throw the links on the grill and then serve them in a bun. What a great change of pace from your typical ground beef or chicken meals!
I have another winner to announce. Congratulation to brandy.m. She was the winner of last week’s giveaway with her Turkey Sausage and Greens recipe. This recipe is another way to prepare your entire meal at once!
If you are looking for recipes, you can check out all the great recipes that the readers haveshared HERE and HERE and HERE. You can also look on the Hillshire Farm recipe page – everything I have tried there has been awesome!
Turkey Sausage and Greens
1 Turkey Kielbasa Rope – cut into circle slices
half an onion – diced
2 bushels of collard greens
2 cups chicken broth
seasonings to taste
1 tbs olive oilWarm olive oil in the pan and then add sausage and brown
Once sausage has a good crust on it, add the onion and sautee until the onions are translucent (about 3 minutes)
Add collards a handful at a time – once the handful has wilted down a bit, add more, etc.
Once all the greens have wilted down, season to taste (I add garlic powder, sea salt, cracked pepper and red pepper flake)
Stir and let cook for a couple minutes then add chicken broth and stir again
Let cook, stirring occasionally, for 15-20 minutes
Serve!Goes great with GRITS!!!
