Hi, A friend just told me about this site and I am so excited! I am just a little confused, first- what is a tearpad? 2. Where do we get all these “booklet” coupons, the front of the store? 3. Can you use more than one coupon for an item? (I am in Central Florida) Ok ladies…how do I save the big bucks? I am a stay at home mom to two kids…and I love to grocery shop, but I also love to save money! Help! Thanks, Sarah

I am new to this site and want (NEED!!!) to learn the ropes!! Can anyone tell me a few things? Like can I print duplicate coupons for the $10 for 10 deals @ publix? I am in Alabaster, Alabama. Any other hints would be greatly appreciated!!

    • Morgan
Most of the time you can print 2 copies of a coupon per computer-. Occasionally you will find an exception –a pdf coupon or a bricks coupon that will let you print a few more times. I fyou need lots of printables…your best best is to ask all your friends/relatives to print copies for you :-) If you have more questions please feel free to ask!!

THANK YOU!!! Today I spent $19 and saved $70!!! I couldn’t even believe it. WOW! :) I do have one question for you. Do you use a lot of online coupons? And if so, do you go through a lot of ink and how do you deal with that?

  • Jeanne

Thank you MIchelle! I spent $92.39 and saved $138.06! I know there are lots of you out there that put that to shame, lol, but I’m pretty happy =D

OK, someone just told me about this site and we just got a Publix about 30 minutes from my house, so, I am anxious to see what this is all about and go to a decent grocery store for ONCE!
But, after looking all thru this site, I am still confused as to what to do and where to start. I don’t mind doing work to get great deals, but I have never used coupons as I just recently started going to the grocery store weekly and cooking….Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hey there! I can’t figure out where to submit a deal, but if you go to the coffee mate website and clic on special offers, you will get a coupon for $1.50/2. Right now, publix has coffee mate 4/$6 so you’d get 4/$4.50 or $1.12/ea whereas these are normally about $2.50 each. Enjoy!

Hi Michelle, I’m not sure if you know the answer to my question, but I was hoping you could maybe ask around to all your Mommy blog friends and see if you can find out for us?? :) A few of us were wondering….Does anyone know if the Nestle Cookie dough (BOGO this week) if the free one still counts towards the $15 for the Real Simple Rewards?

    Thanx a bunch!

Hi Michelle, question for you: I have been doing this for a few weeks now and absolutely love it. So far in my best trip I spent 80.00 and saved 100.00 additional. I know you can put a manufacturer’s coupon on each buy one get one item, and also a competitor’s as well, if you have them. My question is: how do you get deeper discounts…doubling and tripling coupons? Am I doing everything I can be or am I missing out on something? let me know, thank you, awesome site!!

I quick question – when Publix does BOGO, you can buy one item and get the discount. When they have the 2for $4.00 or 3 for $5.00, do you have to buy all 2 / 3 to get the discount, or can you buy one and still get the discount?? Thanks for all your hard work. The last couple of weeks, I have spent about $70.00 and I have saved about $80.00 !!!

  • I just want to thank you for a great site!! I teach a coupon class at our church and have told all of the ladies about your site. I look forward to Mondays to see the sneak peek!! It’s really fun to get a good deal but it’s even greater to become a better steward of Gods money. Thanks for your help in doing that!!

  • Michelle,
Hey there neighbor. I didn’t know you lived in my town. I was in Publix tonight and Tammy said you lived in the area. I guess you were just in and shopping for your hubby’s birthday items….We were talking about our shopping strategies, coupons, websites etc and that is when she told me that you lived in the area. How fun! Love the site.

  • So how will I know who you are??? You should make a t-shirt with your site/logo on it, lol. You know those Bank ladies are pretty brutal in their shopping too. I will never forget when I saw them in action when I first started!! WOW! And there is THREE of them….I love our store though, but so does everyone else, and we are out of stuff alot faster. Were you there earlier with a white shirt, asking for the individual pkgs of Hot Wheels???

  • Publix Wife

I have no idea how I found this we site but I sure am glad I did! My hubby has worked for Publix for 29 years & is currently a store manager in Panama City, Florida. He spends 60-65 hours a week at his store (even more during Spring Break & Holidays) but it doesn’t end there! He also represents Publix as a loaned executive for United Way, The Children’s Miracle Network, March of Dimes & The Pediatric Burn Center of NorthWest Florida. Every purchase you make at Publix helps support these wonderful charities.

  • Michelle,
I ran into an issue the other day. A friend of mine wanted me to take her shopping to show my “publix magic”. So we went to a different one (in Sharpsburg, GA). Oh boy did I get a HUGE surprise when I checked out. Not only did I encounter a “coupon nazi” for a cashier she was just plain UGLY. Unknowningly to me, Due to what they call the “coupon CRAZE”, this district where the store is, will ONLY allow you to buy 4 items that are BOGO, with coupons. I did NOT know this. She took my coupons, separated them BY item, and then pushed away anything over 4, ASSUMING I didn’t want it. She was so so so UGLY. She also was MAD that I was using the toy coupon with the Hot Wheels. She only let me get 4. Then went to the other cashiers, delivering her venom. I ended up being checked out by the manager who allowed me to use my coupons, etc but she grumbled and complained The ENTIRE time! I checked OUR Publix and thank the GOOD Lord that they aren’t doing this (YET!). Basically the other store said that they cannot keep up with the demands of the “extreme couponers” clearing the shelves.

I need a blog address to register? How do I set that up, I currently do not have a blog.

  • Stephanie

What is the tearpad coupons? I am just learning about this website and i work for publix haha

  • Denise Skipworth

Hi Michelle, I saw the SC Johnson rebate on your site and as one of your other readers posted you can get them for 65 cents apiece after coupons at Publix this week. If you buy 3 at 65 cents apiece you will spend $1.95. You can then send in the rebate for a $5 check and it will be a $3.05 money manker in addition to getting the products for free. Love your site and am amazed at your talent. Great job.

  • Denise

You can do the rebate 3 times for a total of $9.15 money maker and get 9 cans of scubbing bubbles for free. Just do 3 different transactions.

  • Denise Skipworth

Hi Michellle, I noticed the SC Johnson rebate on your website, and as one of your readers pointed out these are on sale for 65 cents apiece after coupons this week at Publix. You can then turn around and send in the rebate for $5. This will make them a $3.05 money maker and you will also get the products for free after rebate. You can do this rebate 3 times so this makes them a $9.15 money maker in additon to getting 9 cans of scubbing bubbles for free. Love your website and am amazed at your talent. Great Job!

Does anyone have any insite into why Publix changed the penny item to Wed. instead of Sun/Mon.? We have tried almost a dozen publix brand things because of the penny item and continue to buy them now (apple juice, hot chocolate, saltines and more). We do all our shopping for the week on Sunday and I am very sad that we will no longer be able to try new things with this campaign.

Michelle, I have a question. I went to my local Walgreens a couple of days ago and bought 2 stayfree maxi pads that were priced @ $6.29 each. I bought two. I used a walgreens in ad coupon for $3 off, which gave me $6 off 2. I then had a mq for BOGO and got $6.29 off. So I ended up paying 29 cents for both packs. Today, I went to another walgreens and tried to do the same transaction and the manager told me I could only get 3.29 off (for the BOGO mq) because that was the price after the walgreens coupon was used. I am a little confused about which transaction was right and if I got a raw deal. Thanks in advance.

My Publix now requires you to have the mystery coupon in order to get your penny product.
The store flyers don’t have the coupon in it though, you needed to have purchased the Sunday paper to get the flyer with the coupon.
