Stuffed Pepper Casserole

Ingredients
  • 1 cup bell peppers, cut into large chunks
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 pound ground meat (beef, chicken, sausage, turkey, etc.)
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 12 oz tomato sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Add chopped bell pepper, onion, garlic and ground meat to a large skillet and cook until meat is browned.
  3. Drain any fat.
  4. Add salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, cooked rice, tomato sauce and Worcestershire sauce and simmer for 3 minutes.
  5. Mix in ¾ cup of cheese and then remove from heat.
  6. Pour the mixture into a large casserole dish and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
  7. Bake at 375ยบ for 20 minutes.
