Sausage Pepper & Onion Flatbread

Ingredients
  • 3 - 4 BellaFina™ peppers, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 4 - 5 oz fully cooked chicken or pork sausage, sliced
  • 2 flatbreads
  • ⅔ cup marinara or pizza sauce
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 425ºF.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a medium skillet over medium high heat.
  3. Add the peppers, onions and sausage and sauté for 5 - 7 minutes until the veggies soften and the sausage begins to brown and edges crisp. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat.
  4. Place the flatbread on a cooking sheet and spread ⅓ cup of sauce over each flatbread.
  5. Arrange the sausage, pepper and onion evenly over each flatbread. Sprinkle with cheese and bake for 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  6. Cut and serve warm.
