Happy happy Friday…I hope it’s been a good one!
Both boys are back in school and I am working to get back into a groove. I have my fingers and toes crossed that things stay on a good path and the boys can finish out this year at school instead of online. It just makes things seem a bit more normal. It’s crazy to think that I would look forward to packing lunchboxes and doing carpool.
My goal this weekend is to get all of the holiday stuff completely put away. I would typically have everything completely cleaned up by now…but I have been a bit of a slacker this year. On a normal year I would have had people over for the playoffs and such but since there was no one to see my house, I didn’t have that extra motivator. Plus, we are renovating our master bathroom with new tile, paint and such and it’s created quite the mess. Jim is doing all the tear out to save money. So what might have taken a team of guys a couple of days is taking him a little longer. But, my pocketbook will be VERY thankful when it’s all done. Since Jim has been tied up doing the reno, he hasn’t had time to take down some of the heavier holiday stuff to the basement.
No exciting plans this weekend so I think I might try a couple of new recipes and knock out a few other things on my to do list. I am putting off any real cleaning until the bathroom work is done. I will be fighting a losing battle if I dared to try to keep my floors clean right now. Does it sound like I am making an excuse not to clean…hahaha–MAYBE :-)
