For all you guys who are always asking about ways to budget and keep meal costs low – this is one of the best options. You get 13 – 14 ounces of meat for a couple of bucks. One package will easily feed a family of four and depending on what you prepare, you may be able to get even more servings. Use it in a soup or with beans to whip up a meal for under $5 – total. Now that’s what I call economical.
While being a great value, you also get great taste. Smoked sausage is one of the easiest meats to use. It’s pre-cooked for speed, it’s pre-seasoned for taste. Use it as part of a recipe and you don’t have to have a cabinet full of spices to have a perfectly seasoned dish.
