I had several folks ask if I would post a call for deal ideas and scenarios for the “Running Out? Run In” $5 Publix Giftcard Rebate. My buddy Christy emailed to remind me that it is a pretty good week to do the rebate offer, especially since you have to ‘spend’ $30 on participating products in order to qualify. If you are already ‘spending’ $30…you might as well get to $50 so you can take advantage of the gas card deal too!
If you don’t have the Rebate form, you can download it HERE. As you are planning your deal, keep in mind that there are a bunch of matching Publix peg board standee coupons in addition to the coupon sheet you may have also found in-store.
Christy needs laundry detergent this week, so here is her deal:
Tide Laundry Detergent, 50 oz, $5.99
-$1/1 Tide Liquid, PUBLIX COUPON Publix, Running Out? Run In Coupon Sheet (exp 08/04/2012)
-$1/1 Tide Detergent, excludes PODS 07/01/2012 P&G Insert (exp 07/31/2012)
-$0.50/1 Tide Boost, Tide to Go, or Washing Machine Cleaner, excludes PODS 07/01/2012 P&G Insert (exp 07/31/2012)
-$1/1 Tide, excludes trial/travel size, Between pg. 62 – 63 Latina, June 2012 (exp 09/30/2012)
(6) Tide 50 oz bottles = $35.94
+ $14.06 in other groceries
+ $50 Gas card = $100 total “receipt” cost
-$5/$30 competitor coupon = $95
-$10/$50 gas card Publix coupon = $85
-(6) $1/1 Tide Running Out? Running In Publix coupons =$79
-(6) $1/1 Tide Detergent P&G Insert coupons = $73
-$5 Publix Running Out? Run In Giftcard = $68
Christy notes that her out of pocket could be a lot lower if she grabbed $14.07 worth of additional deals using coupons, but she needs meat and produce more than anything else this week, so that’s what she is choosing to buy.
Obviously your deal scenario is going to be based on your needs…so I’m curious what you all come up with! I am thinking I might need to grab some laundry detergent myself!!
