Publix accepts competitor coupons –so if yor store considers Food Lion a competitor you can use the FLIP’s in addition to any manufacturer coupons.
Thank you so much for the Edy’s coupon. I just bought 20 1/2 gallons for $10!!! Everyone thought that I was having an ice cream party, but really I just loaded up my freezer.

Toni–the Edy’s is/was BOGO at $4.99… Here in GA they ring up $2.50. There was a FLIP that expired yesterday for $2/1 Edy’s. SO after the coupon each tub was only $.50
I rarely buy ice cream but I got a few tubs myself for that price
My Publix will only accept one FLIP of each kind in one trip (fine print on the FLIPs says one per person) so I at least got my one tub of Edy’s! Do they not have that rule at your Publix? I wish I could have loaded up:) I know your family was happy!

Yep the FLIP’s are to be according to the terms on the coupon. I was able to get my two tubs in different trips. Some stores may allow you to use more but of course that would be up to the particular store manager–

Can’t wait! I sent my husband tonight to get the Dr. Pepper’s – need them for our dancing party next weekend. We got nine 12 packs for $4.41 using all the coupons we had. AWESOME!! Thanks again, Michelle, for changing my shopping habits and routine… and my pantry! My kids and husband love you!

A FLIP is a Food Lion Internet Printable…if your store considers FL a competitor you can use these coupons with a MQ to save money. If you look at the tabs at the top of the site you will see where you can access the coupons.
My Publix ususally doesn’t limit the Flips. I have used several of the same in one transaction, Without any problem. Neither of my local Publix’s have a strict policy. As a matter of fact yesterday I used a .75 off 2 fruit rollup coupon but actually forgot a box. I was going to send my son after the second box when I realized it but the cashier told me it would go through and it did on only one box when the coupon was for 2. I have never had the register deny a coupon and never had problems with a cashier on the ones they have do do manually, like the flips
I called the corporate office at FL to make sure I understood their policy on their coupons and they told me that they do not want their coupons being made availabe to the public on any website accept their own. The intent is for customers to receive an email with the coupons that are to printed once to be used once. I thought you’d want to know. Doing the right thing is more important than saving money. (I was bummed out too but integrity is important to me.) The least each person should do is call the corporate office to verify.

Can u use the FLIP for NAME BRAND? Can u use the FLIP for Publix Brand? I just got “brave” enough to use one yesterday .. and my Publix took it! I was thinking they wouldn’t….but you know…”if you don’t ask..you don’t get!”

Stores vary…some will allow you to use the FL brand Q for the Publix house brand equivalent. Check with your store to see what they allow.

personally I think NO store wants their coupons used at their competitor because that means they lose business. Im not sure what to say about the coupons being made available online but I live in Alabama and there are no food lion stores here, however my publix will accept the coupons so I am happy to have access to them online.

I make them accessible on my site because in the email from Food Lion that contains the coupons there is a link in that email that tells me to share the coupons with a friend. They don’t limit the number of friends that I can share via the email link…so I am just sharing them with all my friends!!
My publix will no longer take FLIPS even though there is a food lion one exit up. They are only taking rite aid, target, and kroger. And the food lion is even closer than the kroger! Go figure!

I work at Publix and want to clear a few things up. A customer is entitled to (1) Publix and (1) Manufacturer coupon per item. My store accepts ALL coupons except counterfeits and YES people ARE counterfeiting them. We know ahead of time of any suspicious activity. We at Publix welcome your coupons because the manufacturers actually pay us a handling fee for each coupon. Go figure!
P.S. I hate Kroger
I tried to use FLIPs at the Publix I use. (Lauderdale by the Sea/Sea Ranch Lakes, South Florida) and was told that since there is no FL here in SFL they will not accept these coupons….sigh!!!!!
I am new to this whole couponing experience so please be patient with me. My question is: What is the value of using a FLIP at Publix? Why not just use it at Food Lion? ALso, is Publix the only store that doubles coupons?

A FLIP can be used at Publix if your store considers them a competitor. Since FLIP’s can be combined with a manufacturer coupon you can save big time. As for where the best place to use them–I would say wherever you get the best deal. If Publix has the item cheaper or BOGO-they they will most likely blow Food Lion out of the water. Some of the FLIP’s are really only applicable to Food Lion.
As far as what stores double coupons–it depends on the area you are in. Florida stores do not double at all. Here in Georgia basically all of my stores double EXCEPT Food Lion…so Publix is a better option for me!!

Michelle–is the FLIP for Butcher’s brand beef ANY beef. Publix brand of course…I have used it for steaks, but not ground beef. What is your experience?

My Publix does take Harvey’s Q’s even though there isn’t one in our area. They are soooo lax & almost anything goes.
Hello, My publix in Chattanooga won’t take FLIPs that aren’t for a specific item…I tried to use the $3/10 deli and 5/20 meat and she said they won’t take it.. is this right>?
Hal–every store is allowed to make their own policy …so they get to call the shots! My store quit taking them entirely
hi i tried to print the harveys flips and the coupons that showed up are not the coupons listed on your set. i wanted to ones with pepsi and cheezit but got something else you may want to check on that. thanks

After leaving Publix yesterday,I reviewed my receipt, and my food lion coupons were added to my total, not taken off. I quickly returned to the store and my money was refunded.Please check your receipts.
I tried to print the Food Lion Manufac. coupons & it shows ups code as solid black. How do I print these links/attachments? Also if the Food Lion coupon says manufac. on it which is it? I think I need to sit down w/a Publix manager cause I live in North Port (Sarasota County) & I was told that they won’t take Super Target coupons even though Sarasota has a Super Target…:( I bet Food Lion will be a big NO also. I hope I can absorb all this knowledge & contribute back some!!
3 out of 4 Publix in my area (Sandy Springs, GA) accepts FLIPS, the other one won’t. As it is in a more affluent part of the town, apparently they don’t NEED to, lol.
And if it says Manufacturer coupon, that’s what it is, meaning you should be able to stack that with a store coupon.
Ashley, if the cashier mis-keys the competitor coupons, it will show up as a non-grocery item and will be added. That happened to me last week and Publix owed me $32. oops.
I have a question about the coupons on Food Lion brands. Specifically eggs. If the coupon is for FL brand eggs, will Publix take it and towards what brand eggs?
When you try to get Wal-Mart to price match (store brand milk for example), they’ll do their store brand as a replacement for another store’s brand. I assume all stores that price-match do that. Just pick up Publix store brand eggs. That’s what I’d do.
what happened to the harveys coupon…$5 off of $25? It doesn’t expire until December 8, 2010.
Marsha you can find the $5 off Harverys coupon (does not say you have to spend $25) by going back “Older Entires” to Dec. 2. This is the best coupon because it does not exp until Dec 2010. It is a PDF so save it to your computer to print additional copies.

These are not coming up as MQ they are store Qs and my Publix will NOT let you use them.
We went shopping last night, and at check out we used a Food Lion coupon as well as a Publix coupon. The FL was for $2.50 off 2 Pam products. The cashier said that per Lakeland they can now only take about $1 off. We had been getting the $10 off 30 in the mail, and now the most that would be taken off was $1. If anyone is having the same experience please let me know. We are in Fayetteville, Ga, and we love our Publix, and Fl is new to our area.
