Happy Saturday morning guys! I just threw on a pot of Hurst Family Harvest beans that I will be using for several different dishes over the next couple of days.
A few weeks ago, we visited my husband’s brother in Augusta and his wife made the best baked beans I have ever put in my mouth. There are several different kinds of bean in this recipe so I am getting a jump start by cooking up some of the Hurst Family Harvest Kidney Beans. I have been craving those baked beans every since we got home…so I just have to make them! I will get the recipe typed up and share with you guys on my next “What’s for Dinner” post –you have to try them!
I figured since I need the beans for my chili too, I might as well kill two birds with one stone and cook up a batch.

I noticed a new printable coupon at zip 30187 – $0.35/1 ANY BOB EVANS® SAUSAGE LINKS OR PATTIES.
I also noticed a $2/1 Angel Soft® Bath Tissue 36 Double Roll coupon. I am not sure if Publix carries packs that large but it might come in handy.

Great Deal On Children’s Advil At Publix

Mary emailed with a deal that all of us with little ones will like.
She found the Children’s Advil for $5.99 (regular price) at Publix. She used the $2 Publix coupon from Hug More. Laugh More. Save More with the $1 Children’s Advil coupon in the 1/29 paper (also in 12/11 RP or over on RedPlum). She purchased 3 bottles for $9 and will submit the Pfizer $10 mail in rebate from the 1/29 inserts!
So, she will get 3 bottles of Children’s Advil and earn a few cents after the cost of her stamp! I am going to check my supply of Advil. This is something you always want to have on hand if you have kiddos. No one wants to be out when you need it! I might need to do this deal as well!

Let’s Talk About Why Couponing Rocks!

Over the past week or so I have had several readers email me frustrated about various aspects of couponing. Some folks are frustrated about savings amounts, the way they are treated even negative comments here on my site left by others.
I can tell you firsthand that living the life of a couponer is difficult but it is also super rewarding. Rather than focus on the negatives, I thought it might be nice to open up a discussion about the positive things about being a couponer.
I often have to remind myself – everything is perspective. I may not be a multi-millionaire but I can pay my bills and still have money to spare. I don’t drive a big fancy Mercedes Benz but I do have a very dependable car that gets me where I need to be. I am not a super model who wears a size 0 but I do have a wonderful husband and 2 great little boys who love me dearly even though I’ll never walk the runway in Paris.
As you can see by my exaggerated examples, sometimes it is best to focus on what we DO have and what we CAN do rather than let the negatives rule our world.
In an attempt to help us think about all the great things about being a smart shopper, I thought it would be nice to share some of the good things about couponing. It can be anything – share your favorite tip, the best deal you ever got, what you do with your extra money, anything at all…just keep it positive!

You guys know I am a huge avocado fan. I have shared with you some of my favorite guacamole recipes and even a fun salad that my 5 year old.
I am trying to eat healthier as part of my new year’s resolution. Since avocados provide nearly 20 essential nutrients, they are a delicious part of my diet!
