My buddy Kai over at Smart Couponing has our Restaurant Roundup.  Each week Kai tells us how to save a little moolah when dining out.

This week Kai has several options for us including one of my favorites – Buca di Beppo.  It is always a great idea to check to see if your favorite restaurants are offering any coupons or specials. It will be worth the few minutes of effort!

Woo hoo…I just noticed that Restaurant.com is at 80%!! You can score a $25 gift certificate for only $2 when you use the code BIG at checkout!

Many of you ask how the certificates work…so let’s do the math for a certificate on sale for 80% that requires a $35 purchase:

My family goes to the restaurant and we order $35 worth of food. Once the bill arrives I give the waitress the gift certificate and now my bill is only $10 + tax and tip! So I will pay approximately $20($10 + $7 tip + tax) for a $35 dinner!! Now add the $2 that I paid for the gift certificate and I have paid $22 for the meal!! That means I saved 35% using the Restaurant.com gift certificate! I’d say that is a great deal and a perfect way to stretch your entertainment budget!

I am always looking for ways to save money and stretch the budget a little farther. It only takes a few minutes to check for a deal before you head out to dinner…might as well save money wherever you can!!

This weekend my husband and I get a date night!!  We are so excited and I am already trying to determine where to go!!  Since my parents will have the boys I am going to find a nice place –I am in the mood to try something new (where they don’t offer crayons with your meal!!)

My mom asked what I wanted for my birthday and my only request was a date night with my husband!!  So I may just go with something typical this weekend and wait to do something out of the ordinary next week as we will get a chance to go out without the kids!!  Can you tell I am already looking forward to it

My birthday is next week and I have an inbox full of freebies so I think I may take advantage of a few of them   If you haven’t already…I highly suggest you head over to your favorite restaurants’ websites and join the eClub/mailing list as many will send special offers out for your birthday and sometimes your sign up anniversary! 

I have coupons for free cookies, free ice cream, free appetizers and so much to choose from.  Since my birthday is in the middle of the week I am hoping my husband will want to celebrate either this weekend or next weekend.  He gets home from work late each night…so weekends are a much better option!
