sausage-alfredo-1Here’s the third recipe for our Publix menu plan for the ad that starts on Thursday 3/6 (3/5 for some) – Sausage Alfredo.

This is one of our favorite quick and easy meals. I love Hillshire Farm Sausage and stock up when it’s on sale. Smoked sausage is one of the easiest meats to use. It’s pre-cooked for speed, it’s pre-seasoned for taste, and there’s no need to wash everything 5 times in fear of catching Salmonella from an unclean chopping board. So it means less prep and clean-up time. It’s also very kid friendly. My guys will demolish pretty much any recipe with smoked sausage.

I served this recipe with a spinach salad with walnuts and feta and everyone cleaned their plate. Besides being quick and delicious, this is a very economical meal. I would bet that most of you have almost everything you need on hand. Grab the Hillshire Farm Smoked Sausage thats on sale this week at Publix and you can make this recipe for next to nothing.

Now’s a good time to stock up. The packs of Hillshire Farms Smoked Sausage have a nice long expiration date. You can whip up the recipe this week then have a few packs on hand for those crazy nights when you only have 15 minutes to prepare dinner. I know I am not alone in having “those kind of days” at least once per week.
