If you have a question about couponing at Publix, this is the place to find the answer! Each week my buddy Christy and I have a little coupon question and answer session here on Ask I Heart Publix. Keep sending in those questions – we love to answer them! Just remember if we didn’t get to your question this week…we will do our best to cover it another week!!
Remember–there is a tab at the top of the site under “About” titled “Ask I Heart Publix” where you can find the questions and answers from past weeks!
Here are this week’s questions:
- Is there a limit to how many “free chicken” deals you can do at Publix?
- Does Publix price match their competitors?
- Why don’t I see your deals in my Facebook feed anymore?
- Is there a way to be sure that I don’t miss any of the deals you post?
- Why do two Publix stores in the same town have different policies regarding this type of coupon?
And here are the answers!
1.Kiera wants to know: I know the promo is over now, but since it comes around every once in a while I thought I would ask. Is there a limit to how many “free chicken” deals I can do at Publix when that promotion is running? It never occurred to me until the sale was over that I might be able to get more than one.
Michelle: Nope there is no limit. As long as you buy the correct number of items you will get your chicken.
Christy: As far as I know, there is no limit on the promotion. I got two chickens this last time around and managed to use them for three meals for the three of us – now that is what I call a nice value
Michelle: Publix does not price match –they just accept competitor’s coupons.
Facebook changed an algorithm a few weeks back that affects the type of information you see in your newsfeed. It seems they want pages and business to start paying big bucks in order to reach their fans. I shared some information about how to make sure you’re seeing as many of my posts as possible over here. Hopefully that will help a bit!
Michelle: If you go to the I Heart Publix home page and look in the top right corner…you can enter your email address to subscribe to the daily email I send out. It has a digest of all the deals I share each day. That way you will never miss a deal
You may still want to stop by once or twice a day….if I post a free or super cheap coupon deal, the coupon may be gone by the time the daily email shows up in your inbox!
5. Gabby wants to know: I have two nearby Publix stores. One will accept multiple $5/$30 competitor coupons if I spend the appropriate amount (for example, I can use two coupons if I spend $60), but the other (about 10 minutes away) limits me to one $X/$XX coupon per order. Why would stores so close together have different policies about this?
Christy: I have a very similar situation – the store closest to me will only accept one $5/$30 Winn Dixie coupon per order while the one about two miles farther away will take multiples as long as I fulfill the purchase requirement of the coupon. I’ve asked about this and the customer service reps tell me that the store management makes that policy decision. I certainly can’t complain – I’ll happily drive a few extra miles to shop at a wonderful Publix AND be able to save extra with my Winn Dixie coupons too.
Michelle: Yep, stores can vary dramatically even just a few miles apart. They can vary in policy and price. If you have your pick of store you might want to scope them out and figure out which is better for you.
I hope our answers to these questions were helpful! Make sure you ‘tune in’ next week for even more Q&A with I Heart Publix. We are really running low on questions to answer, so if you have a question you’d like to see answered, PLEASE send it in!! Just email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
