Weekly Totals 10/18 – Share Your Savings

jeb a doo pumpkin Weekly Totals 10/18 Share Your SavingsHappy Friday everyone.

We have had a busy week. It seems like every day I have had a to do list a mile long. Lots of folks in and out of the house, plus all the cleaning once they leave. I tell you I will be glad once all these little “fixes” finally get done!

I did get the chance to go to the pumpkin patch with my little one this week. I know…he’s not so little any more. My little Jeb-a-doo is getting to be such a big kid. We had a ton of fun picking pumpkins, taking a hay ride and petting the farm animals. I guess I better enjoy this time while I can. My oldest son had his pumpkin patch trip about a week ago and when I asked him if he wanted me to go, he said “No, you can stay home. I’ll have fun with just my friends.” He was very kind about it but I have to admit I was a bit sad. My boys are growing up so fast!

My mom is coming to visit us this weekend so I am trying to get the guest room done and the house cleaned up a bit. I am so excited to have our first overnight guest here at the house. My mom wouldn’t care about a dusty house but I just can’t stand the thought…so I am going to get the totals done then get to cleaning.

I hit Publix once this week to grab some pork while it was BOGO. I have a bunch of beef and chicken in my freezer but not a lot of pork so I did want a few packs just for a little variety. I also needed to restock my Laughing Cow supply.

Bread  - $1.50
Pork x 2 – $7.98
Jose Ole x 2 – $1.98 (two $2 IP)
Old El Paso Frozen = $0 (Free Product Q)
Birds Eye Limas = $2.24
Birds Eye Veggies x 2 = $2.49
Birds Eye Veg = 99¢
Laughing Cow x 6 = $12 (three $1/2 tearpad)
Strawberries = $2.99
Potatoes = $1.99
Publix Green Beans = 79¢
Del Monte Green Beans = $1.49

I had a $5 mailed Publix coupon that brought my total to right at $35 this week. Not too bad considering I am stocked up on veggies, pork and my cheese for my english muffins.

    Slow week here…that’s a good thing I need one!

    Awww….what a cute little punkin’ head! ;)

  3. Donna says:

    What do you mean cheese for your english muffins? Do you melt the laughing cow on muffins or just have them on the side? Is it really good?

      I am a big creature of habit. I have a 100 calorie toasted english muffin with Laughing Cow spread almost every single morning. I usually add a turkey sausage patty or either a slice of tomato. If I run out of english muffins I use the Everything Bagel Thins.

      Now that the weather is getting a bit chilly I will start doing grits with cheese and tomatoes a couple of days a week instead.

      Yes–the Laughing Cow Light Original is FANTASTIC :-) (at least I love it)

    The new light white cheddar is amazing too if anyone wondered :)
