If you have a question about couponing at Publix, this is the place to find the answer! Each week my buddy Christy over at Winn Dixie on a Dime and I have a little coupon question and answer session here on Ask I Heart Publix. Keep sending in those questions – we love to answer them! Just remember if we didn’t get to your question this week…we will do our best to cover it another week!!
Remember–there is a tab at the top of the site under “About” titled “Ask I Heart Publix” where you can find the questions and answers from past weeks!
Here are this week’s questions:
- Why do you ask for a phone number now when I enter the Free Coupon Friday giveaway?
- I saw that I won a giveaway! When should I expect my prize?
- If you have a similar giveaway on I Heart Kroger, I Heart Saving Money, or I Heart Kitchen…can I enter there too? Or can I enter only on one site?
- How do you know when a coupon resets?
- I know you’re moving…will there be any weeks where you won’t be posting the Monday ad preview?
And here are the answers!
I have started asking for phone numbers for all giveaway entries on all sites. The phone numbers are for shipping purposes only and will never be given to anyone…except to pass along your information to a giveaway sponsor if you are a winner.
Having your shipping information including phone number on file from Free Coupon Friday also means that if you are a winner of a bigger giveaway and we can’t reach you by email (which happens more than you’d think!!), then you may still be able to get your prize. I can’t tell you how many people have won gift cards and great prize packs, but we can’t reach them by email to get their information…so that prize goes to another winner.
It will vary! The majority of giveaways are offered by a sponsor. Generally you should allow at least 6 to 8 weeks for your prize to arrive. Of course…with giveaways like Free Coupon Friday, we try to get your coupons out within just a few days. However, bigger giveaways from some of the large companies require a bit more time – it can take weeks for the winner information to get passed to the right person and for them to get your prize ready for shipment.
Often if I am doing a series of giveaways, the company asks that I give them all the winner information at once. So if you win the first giveaway, it could be another three weeks before the company even looks at your information – and then they need processing time too. So 6 to 8 weeks is the standard wait time for any giveaway prize.
Yep– you can enter on each site. The number of entries allowed per person will be listed in the giveaway details. Just make sure you follow the entry directions.
Christy: It depends on the coupon. For Coupons.com coupons – usually the coupons that stick around for more than 30 days either reset on the first of the month or 30 days after you first print. For coupons on individual company websites – some will reset every 30 days and others will just stick around until they get their individual print limit.
If you have a favorite coupon on a company website, it might be a good idea to try to print it every once in a while just in case it has reset. Otherwise, Michelle will always post if there is a good coupon that has reset – so your best best is to just watch the I Heart Publix feed to know what to print.
Michelle: Yes as Christy explained above it will vary. Some coupons never reset – you get one shot and that’s it. Most of the coupons I use are printables. I have learned the hard way to print the ones I think I will use. If I see a coupon I need in a matchup I will just give it a go. Sometimes I am pleasantly surprised and other times I get that dreaded…”you have already printed this coupon” message
5. Allison wants to know: I know you’ve mentioned that you’re moving soon. (I am not sure how you can do all that you do and manage a move too – wow!) Will there be any weeks that you are not going to be able to post the Monday Publix ad preview?
It is my hope that things will continue as usual and you guys will never notice anything is different. We have been traveling back and forth for a while now and I usually pass the time in the car posting on the sites. Of course anything can happen but I don’t expect there to be any issues posting the preview.
The month of August will be interesting but working on the sites is a nice distraction from the other things going on. Never a dull moment
I hope our answers to these questions were helpful! Make sure you ‘tune in’ next week for even more Q&A with I Heart Publix. We are really running low on questions to answer, so if you have a question you’d like to see answered, PLEASE send it in!! Just email me at email@example.com.
