Thanks, Michelle! Woo Hoo!
Looks like a better week than this week. I’m excited for Morningstar and the start of some back to school deals
I’m also very excited for Morningstar! It seems like they’re going BOGO more frequently lately
the smart balance butter coupon on ibotta expires on 7/11 at 159am so it won’t work
sorry, posted wrong comment lol. what I meant to say is I did not get a Morningstar farm coupon in my inset from 6/30. did anyone else not get it?
I couldn’t find the coupon, either! And I have no clue where to find the Summer Savings booklet.
I JUST ran out of Triscuits – yippee for a sale!
Thank you! Is there a location on the website where you can swap Publix coupons? I was lucky and found some of the new coupons but there are ones that I will never use and hate throwing them out.
Check out the forum. Link is at the top of the page.
Hey in the p & g On Sunday there was a $5/2 Clairol products. Herbel Essence being a clairol product I was able to use the coupon for the body wash that is 2/$5. (:
There has been much debate about this coupon over on their Facebook page. Last time I looked at it…here was their response: “This coupon is good on only Clairol hair color. Totally understand the question as Herbal Essences is Clairol, however Herbal Essences hair care products run their own coupons. You can use it on Herbal Essences hair color though. ^Renee”
If I see that they have changed their response indicating it is indeed valid for other products, I will add it. For now…I am not putting it in the matchups.
So it’s up to everyone on what they do, but they will honor it! Clairol’s Response on FB “Yes, we fully take responsibility and sincerely apologize for any confusion it may have caused. It was our intent that the coupon be good for $5 off of any 2 Clairol hair color products. Herbal Essences is marketed separately under the Herbal Essences brand name, and the coupon for the shampoo & conditioner was found on the page following our Clairol coupon. However, we understand that the wording of the coupon does not clarify hair color and want to reassure you that we fully take responsibility and will honor the redemptions that have come through. However, we hope that our original intent of offering $5 off of any 2 Clairol hair color products is recognized, so that we can continue to provide value offers in the future. Thank you for reaching out for clarity.”
Publix honored 2.00 off Clairol coupon that was last year or the year before. I bought a lot of shampoos.
This coupon is crazy!!!Its called couponing with integrity! Everyone knows that is was meant for the hair color but they just keep making excuses to justify the use of it…Yes they messed up and the wording was not correct so that just means all these people who claim to coupon with integrity really do not. It was meant for hair color and everyone who has couponed for any length of time knows this to be a fact. the manufactures do mess up sometimes and dont get it right so I guess that means everyone should just take advantage of it! But then you people who are using this the wrong way are the first to jump down someones throat because they used 1 to many coupons by mistake or just made a honest mistake. So I guess its ok to use this the wrong way!
Herbal Essences has been sending out free full size bottles of the body wash to stimulate sales. Often times high value coupons are issued to encourage consumer interest in new or reintroduced products. Why couldn’t this coupon have been issued with a broader range to encourage the purchase of body wash also? So since things are routinely done to “create buzz”, why make the assumption that this was obviously an error in wording?
Why do you assume everyone knows it is for hair color, because of the pictures or ad? How many times have coupons been issued with a product picture on the front, but it includes (and likewise excludes) other products? Thankfully there are mediums to ask and receive clarification. Proctor and Gamble has been very exact in their wording over the last couple years. It is doubtful this was a fluke or mistake.
The only thing this will do is cause them to make sure they have the wording correct next time, if it were an error. I’m sure they have received more “buzz” and free blog interest in this product line just from the wording on the coupon.
You are absolutely right! Here is my take on it:
Yes, they will honor it, but as they stated, they hope the coupon is used as they intended so they “can continue to provide value offers in the future.” Just more proof that coupon misuse does in fact affect the coupons that manufacturers put out. I sure wonder who does the wording for their coupons? Last month was the “one Secret Outlast or Scent Expressions twin pack” now this. While I along with most of Michelle’s other readers, strive to use coupons honestly, it is ambiguous wording that confuses many. Both of these coupons are pretty clear to myself, but apparently not to many.
Well there is a coupon in the P&G for Herbal Essence so why would they put out 2 at the same time.. And its obvious what the coupon is for ANY one who has been doing it for awhile knows this. Excuses is what everyone keeps making too funny!
Hey Tt and Chelle,
I am not on here saying, “Go for it and plunder the stores with these coupons for free product!” I much rather wait for a good sale on hair color at RA or Wags. This is how I keep the little old ladies at the nursing home looking good.
I have been doing this a long time – over a decade in fact. Long before that horrible couponing show turned many newbies over the top. Long enough to have a long standing relationship with my stores because they know I respect the rules. Long enough to remember when P&G would put out stupendous high value coupons to stimulate the market. Oh, I also have a background in PR and marketing and know that P&G has a huge department taking care of these matters. Ten years ago, I may have thought it was a mistake, not now. Maybe somewhere else, not P&G. Their wording has changed so much over the last two or three years that you KNOW they are paying attention to the copy that is put out on coupons.
I would hate for people to go out of control with the coupons. Anyone who has done this for a while knows that things come in waves and there will always be cheap (if not free) body wash to keep you clean. Are the newbies going to learn this from people jumping down their throats?
Chelle, you asked why would they put out two different coupons. Why put out three or four different coupons in different mediums for different audiences?. Why send out full bottles instead of sample packs? How would you get thousands of people talking on the blogs? You have probably contributed more to the increased use of the coupon from newbies surfing this board because you are stimulating interest with your commentary. There is no reason to get upset over something this minor when so much is going on in the world.
I would love to compare the cost of this one coupons redemption vs. the cost for this degree of advertising. The annual expense they put into just printing up the inserts is amazing. I for one would love to see them go to less glossy, inexpensive inserts that are biodegradable and use the money saved from the printing change donated to the Red Cross, or AIDS research or St. Jude.
Michelle has done a great job of explaining the situation. Judge not least ye be judged. How many times as a person who has been couponing for a while have you had people judge you just for taking up time in the checkout line or “stealing” by using coupons to get freebies. Life is to short to spend bringing others down with negativity.
Good gravy! All this discussion for BODY wash??? Puh-leeze! It’s not like it’s coffee or ice cream or meat. =)
Back to School Already? I am not ready for this!
Thank you! I think I’m going to grab more cheerios from this week’s add and use that $2 off fruit coupon! I like the cereal deals coming up in this coming weeks flyer too!! Have a great week!
Is there a specific zip code for the Smart Balance coupon? The only one that pulls up for me is 50 off any cooking oil, spray, peanut butter, or light mayo. Thanks!
Christy, I am wondering the same thing!!!
I haven’t been able to find it anywhere!
Wanting to pick up dog food for a friend. the target beneful coupon is for $1 off 7lb or larger. So does it match because two 3.5lb bags=7lb or is it not really a match at all?
I agree it’s not a match.
Sorry, not a match. You would have to buy 1 bag for at least 7lb.
There is a Publix Coupoun with an #LU for $1 off any 2 wheat thins or Triscuits. Check Ebay If you can’t find it in store.
I have seen a PQ peelie $1/2 at my store
Michelle, I have a $1.00 off Tyson Grilled and Ready clipped as a Publix Digital Coupon. Just incase anyone else has it already clipped, not sure if it’s still available??
Thank you! Do you have a sales price for the Cabot cheese? (price was omitted above)
Yay for special K. Finally. Hoping some better coupons pop up.
.55 off 2 Dixie products from Miracle Network donation sheet to use w/ 2/$4 Dixie napkins. exp 7/13
Thank you Michelle!
I found a target .50 coupon for arnold sandwhich bread( lists Brownberry and Oroweat as well). I was wondering if this coupon would work for the arnold bread on sale. Also does a Target coupon for $1/2 market pantry cheese item work for the publix shredded cheese on sale?
Yes both of the target coupons should work. I’ve used both in my local Publix with no issue.
How does the 5% off work for the Elmer’s glue through Upromise? I signed up awhile back but I’ve never used it.
Nevermind figured it out.
Crummy week for me unless something pops up later in the week. Thanks for the preview!
I agree! But I’m kind of glad because I haven’t had a break in a loooong time. I’ll keep my eyes open for other deals that could pop up during the week too.
Missing the gas card? Need some stocking up!
Basically nothing for me this week except the basics: berries and veggies Good thing I have a full freezer from previous weeks!
Thanks for posting this. It really helps me out. I do have a question. In the BMAH booklet for the pillsbury it says one deal per coupon. Can you exlain that to me? Do I have to purchase only 2 at a time, and can I put the $0.40/2 with it? Thanks for your time.
The term ‘one deal per coupon’ only means that you can’t use the coupon to get 2 or more deals. So, basically, for each deal, you need a separate coupon. AND YES, you can use the manufacturer’s coupon with it.
Does anyone know a page number for the Peter Pan PB, I can’t seem to find it in my June 2013 ALL YOU edition.
The coupons are all listed in the first few pages of the magazine, with page numbers included.
I looked through the whole magazine and can’t find it either. It’s not listed on the index page either.
It’s actually in the all you summer special that came out in June
I clipped $1/2 wheat thin crackers 8.1oz. or larger. Is this good on the wheat thins boho this week. I didn’t see this coupon listed. Exp. 7/19/13
Thank you Michelle.
The link you have posted for $0.50/1 Smart Balance Spread is not for the Spread. I just printed it out and it says Cooking Oil, Cooking Spray, Peanut Butter or Light Mayo.
Man! I totally forgot to get the Sargento cheese slice deal a few weeks ago – I was soooo hoping it would be on sale again. Would have been less than 40 cents a package and we eat that a lot. Sooooo bummed those coupons will go to waste. The Publix ones expire on the 12th.
I had no trouble using the Clairol $5 off 2 products coupon. I bought eight of the Herbal Essence body washes over the weekend with no problem. The coupon states $5 off of two Clairol products not specific to hair products. Clairol may have meant that but they should state so on their coupon. Thanks again Michelle for the preview and your hard work.
It’s obviously for the hair color seeing as that is pictured and on the next page is a coupon for herbal essences.
The pictures don’t matter! You sound like a Walmart employee.
LOL Yes I once had a lady tell me I had to buy BLONDE colored dye as the picture showed a BLONDE lady, so she wouldn’t take it against brown hair dye.
did it scan or did they put the Clairol in manually $5 on 2
it scans no problem! I went to CVS to see if this would work bc they said they would honor it but before I did I spoke with a manager of the CVS to see what their take was on it and they said that as long as the wording does NOT specify on it they were fine with it just that I was only able to use 4 per household per day like it WAS specified. I will admit I did the deal and received 8. I look at it this way if not only Clairol AND the store are in agreement AND I KNOW that the store is getting reimbursed I see no problem (I would NOT have done it if I knew the store wasn’t going to get paid bc that is technically stealing). I abide by the rules and guidelines and have for as long as I have couponed, for the grey areas and to me a grey area is if say the manager from the store was iffy about it I wouldn’t have done it or there was unsurity of the store getting paid I wouldnt have done it. BUT because they stipulated that they WOULD pay the store to me thats NOT a grey area. Happy Shopping!! Thanks Michelle for all the hard work you do its MUCH appreciated!
There is a $1.50/2 Bic Stationery Products coupon on their Facebook page to use with the mechanical pencils BOGO.

Great ad! Just ordered a bunch of $5/$40 Publix coupons on ebay that will come in handy!!
Why is boneless chicken so expensive the last month or so? The Perdue used to be on sale for $2.99 all the time!
Just wanted to note that $1.10 /1 Tyson Grilled and Ready is for the FROZEN kind and not the refrigerated kind which is what’s on sale as I’m highly doubtful publix would do a 2 for $6 deal for the frozen kind.
Nothing for me this week. Need meow mix, Tidy cat and gas card
I had to bite the bullet and get Tidy Cats at Sam’s Club yesterday EEK
Thanx Michelle! Always look forward to this post. Wish I could find the summer savings booklet in largo!! Thanx for all u do.
The Lake Oconee Publix is putting their booklet in grocery bags when you checkout!
This has to be the worst ad (for me at least) in two years. Oh, well, my pocketbook (and hubby) will be happy. Thank goodness there’s no gas card deal this week!!! LOL
On the first page of the new Winn Dixie ad, there is a $5 off $50 coupon. My publix takes Winn Dixie.
2 off 2 dollar general coupon for (kraft)cheesy skillets if you have it printed. no longer available
I have been through my All You June 2013 issue and there is not a Petter Pan Coupon to be found. Also checked other issues as well.
ITs in the special summer booklet that came out for june, not the standard monthly magazine:-)
The small crescent rolls, I believe, are less than eight ounces so not sure the best meals happen at home will match this sale
Darn it! I was hoping it was a match. We love to put butter and cinnamon sugar in them and bake for a sweet snack
Believe me, I was too. We live crescent rolls and can’t beat 10 cents. Oh well
Okay, help me out…I am making a roast and needing a beef for a stir fry. Is that a good deal for sirloin tip roast and steak? Do you recommend a different type of meat?
If I recall from when I worked at Publix, the week after July 4th is usually a slow week at grocery stores. People do alot of shopping for their cookouts and usually do their routine grocery shopping at the same time. The sales for last week were good because grocery stores know people WILL be shopping and stocking up. This is probably why this a weak week Next week should be a good one or I hope so!
is the publix coupon in the 0616 RP a match for the Tyson Chicken Strips, Grilled or Fajita, or Roasted Diced or Grilled Chunks, or Seasoned Steak Strips, 8 oz, 2/$6? it says “$1 off any one tyson grilled and ready chicken breast filletts or other tyson green bag or frozen product” thanks
Don’t forget the $1.50/2 Bic Stationery coupon on their Facebook page.
Bic Mechanical Pencils 10 pk BOGO $3.69
= $2.19 for twenty good mechanical pencils. Not bad!
I am hunting for this coupon!!! Where is it?!?!?!
heh, nvm. found it!
Having trouble finding it!
The Amish country cheese that is BOGO is amazing! Just an FYI for those who may not have tried it yet. Not really much here for me this week but appreciate the early preview as always, really helps with planning.
question about Publix digital coupons. It says one coupon per purchase, does that mean on BOGO Lucky Charm, it only takes off .50c and not 1.00?
That is correct! At least that’s been my experience, anyway.
Thanks! I guess I’ll buy Reese’s PB Puffs and Lucky Charm so I can use both coupons.
Also, if you live in an area that doubles manufacturer’s coupons, the digital coupons do not double. Just an FYI.
Elmer’s glue sticks were on special at my Publix: 3 packs of 3 sticks(0.21oz) for $2.00, so $0.22 cents a piece.
anyone else having trouble finding the Pillsbury coupon in the 5-19 SS ?
yes. there were 2 diff 5/19 SS. I found it in the one with the Sweet Baby Ray’s on the front. Well I have 3 of those inserts and the q was only in 1/3. ???
Thanks I thought I was going crazy!!
I just have to comment to you, that is so weird because i have 3 as well and only one of mine had that Q in it too!!! What are the odds of that? I thought I was losing it.
The Golden Grahams coupon isn’t on the Betty Crocker page
how can print coupons from this page????
Is there a way to clip all of the Publix digital coupons at once (like select all)?
There is a $1 off 2 Ken’s dressings on their facebook page.
the 5.00 Clairol coupon does not scan at publix on the herbal essence body wash it beeps It will at cvs on the shampoo and also on the aussie
