Is there any way to delete all of these comments? It’s going to drive the wrong behavior with people thinking you can copy Target coupons which will ruin it for anyone printing and using them legitimately at Publix.

What in the world?! You can’t make your own PDFs of Target coupons! It’s the same as copying other printable coupons and it’s fraud. I know that they don’t come with a unique code on them, but there’s a limit of 2 per computer. It would be different if Target actually allowed for their coupons to be distributed as a PDF like some companies still do. I remember when people were posting PDF files of Target coupons on well used forums a couple years ago and the person who was creating them finally was tracked down.

If unfortunately, target isn’t a competitor you can use this stack at Target. Currently, a box is priced at 3.49 at my store. So they’ll be 1.49 ea box. They price cut to $3 some times. But that’s pretty close (.25/bar)

i dont think it’s illegal. it doesn’t say in the coupon’s fine print that you can’t PDF it. If it’s a manufacturer coupon i would say it’s illegal. what do you think guys?
If you call Target Corporate or the CIC they will tell you that this is fraud. Taking a coupon that is intended to only be printed twice per computer and mass producing it without Target’s formal consent is wrong. If they offered the coupon as a PDF file it would be different. Just because there are a bunch of greedy couponers teaming up to pass around the file doesn’t make it right. There also is a trademark issue since you are copying and distributing Target’s logo over and over again. Michelle, I’m concerned that you might get in trouble since it’s your blog post that this behavior is occurring on. If I were you I would delete this whole post so you don’t get in trouble for enabling this type of behavior.
okay. but I will not call the target corporate office because of this and I hope nobody will. I will not get anybody get in trouble because of coupons. That’s just wrong. I know now that it’s wrong but we are not criminal. We are here to save money . I don’t know why some other people are so mad about this. Maybe the other couponers didn’t know that it’s wrong just like I did. live and learn!

Oh my goodness. I just looked up fatwallet. I can’t believe someone started another one of those sites. In 2010 there were several folks that started sites like that and Target attorneys issued cease and desist orders and that turned into a big mess. I strongly discourage you from printing anything from there. That is completely illegal.

Okie dokie….I was very busy yesterday and wasn’t able to pay attention to the comments. Since I have several emails about this whole dealio…I thought I would put in my two cents.
Creating and using a pdf of a coupon that was not intended to be a pdf is wrong. I am not going to pull down posts or bring out my paddle and treat folks like children. I am under the assumption that we are all adults here.
If you were unaware that using a user created pdf is wrong…now you know. If you don’t care and choose to use it anyway – so be it. There is no way I can be the coupon police to all – folks will have to use their own noggins and make their own choices.
Let’s play nicely so that the stores remain coupon friendly
Honestly Michelle , I did not know that this was wrong. I thought it was okay . Now I know. I thought the other people saying it was wrong was just being mean because they have the coupon. Sorry guys! I hope that nobody gets in trouble , specially you. By the way, I asked for the PDF yesterday but nobody sent me any but that’s okay since it’s wrong.
I went to my Publix in Huntsville, AL today (Monday)and they are not on sale here.
that’s a bummer! I bet it’s not on sale here in Birmingham either.
I saw them at one of the stores in my area on clearance so I assume it’s just a hit or miss thing. It’s not a regular sale, for me it was clearance and only at one store.
I certainly didn’t mean to cause a commotion! It was NOT my intention. Nor was it my intention for anyone to print 100000 of the PDF. It’s a candy that I eat often and I don’t quite understand why Target pulls the coupons down before the expire. I had found that specific coupon on another coupon site I use. They have a list of all of the current target coupons there-not like other sites who were deleting expiration dates and putting them up. I DID NOT email anyone a copy, and I also didn’t use my copy. I know what is right and wrong, I guess I just like to see the good in people and not think people would use it in a fraudulent way. Of course I don’t want it to give couponers a bad name, I HATE getting dirty looks when I pull out my coupons, but I’m a poor college student and I need to save all the money I can, so i can buy really expensive textbooks I’ll never use. Again I apologize, I didn’t mean to make anyone upset or think that I was “special” and allowed to do what I wanted with coupons. On that note Happy Couponing
Just wanted to add to your statement by saying that the issue isn’t just someone possibly printing multiples, but the fact that it was put out as a pdf at all. Target coupons are not pdf coupons. They have coupon printing software that prevents the printing of more than two (and sometimes only one) coupons. If you find a couponing site/blog that is posting pdf Target coupons, I would definitely question the legitimacy of that site and the blogger running it. You can get some great savings couponing honestly and ethically. I believe in the old saying “what comes around goes around” and have no doubt that if I was doing dishonest deals during the tight times many of us are having, I would probably end up in much worse shape than when I started. We live and learn by our mistakes. The best thing we can do when it comes to couponing is try to educate ourselves as much as possible about correct coupon usage and store policies and follow the rules of the stores and the wording/fine print of the coupons. In the long run, it will benefit us all.
