Happy Friday everyone!
I have been crazy busy preparing for Christmas this week. I spent most of the day finishing up my last minute gift buying while the boys were in school. I shop throughout the year so I never really have to deal with all of the holiday madness. There are always a few items on their wish list that I don’t know about until we write Santa a list. As of today – Santa is all set 
Now, I have to start wrapping everything and I can officially kick back and enjoy.
I went through my pantry earlier this week and wrote down all the items I will need to grab for my holiday meals. I think I am pretty good but there are a few things that I wish I had got while they were on sale a while back. I did get a $50 gift card this week…so I will use that next week to take the sting out of the higher than normal bill I will have.
This week I worked it so that I could get to $50 just to grab a Visa gift card. For you guys who have an endless supply of those $5/$50 coupons the gift card deals may not excite you…but I NEVER get to use them. So, the gift card is kinda like my opportunity to get a little savings.

So, this week I was at around $42 for my groceries. Not too bad considering I got a few items that my guys requested and stocked up on fruit for the lunch boxes!

Paid $43.04 plus tax. There were hangtags on the Fanta, Mello Yello, Barq’s, Minute Maid, etc..Buy 2, Get 1 Free. They expired 12/12 but my Publix will accept them for a week after they expire. I bought 12..paid for 2 and got 10 free because of the Buy 2, Get 2 Free sale.
I went shopping twice for the Visa Gift Card deal.

This was a special trip, a rare time my 13 year old was with me because of a doctors appointment. We’ve been having tough times financially and we’ve been honest with her about it. Because of this, this is the first time she’s taken an interest in how much I’ve spent vs. saved and it blew her mind a little!

Did I miss something? What is this visa gift card everyone is talking about? I did the target gift card deal this week and last but have no clue what the visa gift card deal is.
Did a run on Thursday, but headed back tomorrow to pick up a gas card and some much needed things for school and birthday party. . I need some candy canes (noticed they were $1 each at Publix:)) thank you Michelle for always saving me so much money!
I see a few people had coupons for the Snack Factory Pretzel Crisps and the Bertolli Olive Oil – no links or info though….any one know of where these might be??
